Superb 3D modeling. Wow. Of course, in stark contrast are the 2-dimensional train tracks now... I know this ain't Train Simulator, but shouldn't the rails be 3D, too? ;)

accurate 3D railroad tracks? :)

 

It needs only few hours for an experienced user to make it in 3ds MAX with texture, ambient occlusion, specular and normal maps plus with the adjusted materials.

Needs another few minutes to implement and export to DCS as swap the 2D track model splines or bones to the accurate 3D LOD models in the terrain constructor if the train route is already implemented. Not so difficult. :) My 2 cents
