when the Sabre's stripes change from green to yellow.:smilewink:

:D

:megalol::megalol: The new B-17 shots are awesome, man I cant wait! And the detail is so good I think the rivet counters may even get tired of counting them!:megalol::megalol::pilotfly::pilotfly::joystick::joystick:

Yeah!, the B-17 model is astonishing, all the fine detail is incredible (little antennas, inside engines, etc.),crazy texture detail is great also. It can handle no problems even more zoomed screens... cant imagine what a giant 3d modelling nightmare it has been...

also love how the glass material looks, it actually feels like glass and the effect of the internal edges of different pieces is awesome...

One thing I would like ED to discuss is whether there are any plans to allow a copy of all the maps to be used on servers under the terms of a special license. It would help a lot if the maps could be used that way.

Please Wags or someone else from ED, can you tell us your thoughts? It is about to get very expensive to host a server.

I think in this moment it's pointless to emphasise such a terrific job is ED team developing, but looking at those gorgeous latest pics… Oh man, that's going even beyond my expectations. Such a stunning look they have done  :notworthy:.

Hopefully the upcoming trailer won't look too shabby either .. :D

well, your trailers always have been incredibly nice...but tbh, thats the least im interested in, when its about normandy now....pre-order button, that what counts now if we consider the date, and their aimed release of Q1...but probably both go hand in hand, so yeah, im looking forward to it! ;)

I would have to search for a specific post where it was communicated but as far as I recall the plan is that the live stream will be just shortly after the pre-order goes live.

From Facebook:

The DCS: Normandy 1944 Map and DCS: World War II Assets Pack will be available for download by late April 2017.

More details coming this weekend in the Newsletter!

The DCS: Normandy 1944 Map is centred on the World War II battlefield of Normandy, France and is specifically created to depict the period after the D-Day landings and the establishment of several allied airfields in Normandy to support the beachhead breakout in late June 1944. The map measures 267 x 348 kilometres and includes airfields in both Normandy and southern England. The map includes the famous D-Day landing beaches and the “Atlantic Wall”, rolling bocage fields of Normandy, large cities like Caen and Rouen, ports of Cherbourg and Le Havre, and 30 airfields. Nice but I couldn't see any V1 launch ramps in the list and neither in the trailer...

would be nice to have for doing missions

I dont know about V1's, but I know the list isnt complete. And things can be added down the line.

I would love to see them as well.

Look at ED's facebook page lots of information regarding DCS: WWII

https://www.facebook.com/eagle.dynamics/videos/10158413498320341/

Thanks for posting that! Putting info on facebook and not their own forums pisses me off. I don't do facebook and never will so I'm surprised that they would neglect their own site like this... Thanks again!
