When I run TacView my terrain is 'black', as well as all objects.

I load an ACMI txt file, and can press play and see the trk acmi playing, but theres is no color, and everything is black.

I have an ATI card. Is there something Im doing wrong?

Ive dl'd 3 times already. Exported .lua's to config/export..

And exe/.dat in own tacview folder in Lockon.

:(

If all is black then there is a technical issue with you graphic card.

Can you send me your full configuration using dxdiag?

  • 7 months later...
I just downloaded

http://virtuozb.free.fr/download/Tacview090.zip

from

http://lomac.strasoftware.com/lomac-acmi-en.php

but there are no lua files... and I therefore can't record anything. What's up with that?? can any1 link me to the lua files or to an older zip containing them? thanks!

Maybe you should read the Readme? :book:

Just press Record in Tacview and it will make the necessary lua entries :smartass:

How does one use this?

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Vyrtuoz, any updates on the way? :)

I think a measuring tool might be handy, actually :)

Hi GG,

What do you mean by measuring tool, can you give me an example?

Regarding Tacview, as you know, I took some rest. :smilewink:

But the project is going continue:

I already added events filtering capabilities.

I’m now going to do minor fixes and improvement before adding a tool to display and compare altitude, speed, etc. using curves.

Very nice! :)

What I mean is like a 'tape' like what we have in LO, where you can measure distance from point A to point B.

A nice addition may be also a button to disable the terrain from the 3d view (you know, something similar happens when you delete the file with the terrain data)

Sometimes when I fight low in the mountains, planes (or units) hide below terrain. I think it's better to have no terrain visible at all (but a clear view of situation) rather than incorrectly placed.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil T-50CM, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Disable terrain

Is an option to disable the landscape in the “Options” dialog-box ok for you?
