Invisibull
Hi All - Has anyone figured out how to reduce the amount of haze in 1.5 stable yet? There used to be an easy mod of the graphics.lua which would make the haze all but disappear, but that doesn't seem to have any effect now. Invisibull
Thx Ace, but i see zero effect on the haze with those settings. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5. aceviper
The pics don't do it justice...part of reshade sweetfx is sharpening the slight blur present in the edge engine. Trust me and try it with keygirls settings...it works very well in Dcs1.5 or 2.0.
Invisibull
I did try it, Ace. That was the point of my first response to you. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5. SinusoidDelta
The haze at times is unbearable. It seems to vary with weather and at times the horizon is completely obscured even with low cloud cover. Spotting is nearly impossible currently. I'd love to know if there is someway to alter the intensity. Hopefully someone more knowledgable can chime in!
Blooze
I have noticed that for some reason fog has been enabled with a visibility range of 25nm by default in 1.5. Try clearing any fog entry in the ME and see if that helps. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Invisibull
Fog is not enabled by default in my install. This haze really has to go. It used to be that i could just make these changes to all view distances in the graphics.lua file and the haze would disappear: near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4; far_clip = 600000; Now these changes have no effect. Any help would be much appreciated. i9 9900k - GTX 2080 Ti - MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo - 64GB HyperX Predator RGB DDR4 3200MHz - Win10 64 bit - TM Warthog w FSSB R3 mod - TrackIr 5. SinusoidDelta
I can confirm changing far_clip no longer has any effect. It seems not all players have an issue with this. Could it be resolution dependent? I'm using a 34" ultrawide 3440x1440.
