Thanks Bignewy, The more you have the better. Then it's just a matter of sorting out assumptions vs reality. :)

I can't wait to dive bomb a T-90, and obliterate any pursuing Sukhois with the MG34

This is great news, I guess I am late to the party but well done on choice and good luck with your work. Reading through the previous posts I doubt we will need to be attacking T90's and M1's. For a start we have those really nice WWII mods and the Normandy map will surely not take as long as Nevada now the tools and processes have been created.

Tingling with excitement

These guys are gonna get a lot of money from me!

Another great choice of Module.

HP G2 Reverb, Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate as standard. OpenXR user, Open XR tool kit disabled. Open XR was a massive upgrade for me.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), 0 X MSAA, 0 X SSAA. My real IPD is 64.5mm. Prescription VROptition lenses installed. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC at the mo. MT user  (2 - 5 fps gain). DCS run at 60Hz.

Vaicom user. Thrustmaster warthog user. MFG pedals with damper upgrade.... and what an upgrade! Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height with brail enhancements to ensure 100% button activation in VR.. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound.... you know when you are dropping into VRS with this bad boy.

Well imagine a pack that has escorts of me109 and fw190. I guess that would finally be a job for all the WW2 geman fighters that are flying in DCS.

This. This so much.

By the way, does anyone know if the D-5/G-2 had the Jericho trumpets or were they already removed by this time in the war?

And can someone recommend me some good detailed books about the Ju-87?

Thanks in advance!

I can't remember off hand but they we're probably removed by the D-5.

They were already removed. I believe the D-3 was the last to wear them.

There is a good book by Hans Ulrich Rudel called Stuka pilot. It is a good read, but even more so because it gives an insight into Stuka tactics and survival in the combat zone.

It was replaced in the book in the later war period by the Fw-190, but was definitely not a lame duck in the right hands. He has plenty to say about the cannon equipped version.

It would be great if this version could be modelled too, but regardless, I'm looking forward to this one!
