Not updating to 1.5.2.48110.121?

I still can't update to 1.52, the launcher behaves like there's nothing new to download. Seems that most folks has managed to get 1.52, so I'm wondering if there could be some glitch on my side that prevents the updater to do its job

It only automatically checks for updates once a day or so. There should be a shortcut in your start menu called "Update DCS World OpenBeta" which will force an update check.

Did the trick. Thanks a bunch! Been two long years! Now for my worst part of simming..........creating a stick file and muscle memory it! Will the stick file for 1.5 transfer over to 2.0?

There's a trick with a command line but I don't know what it is.

Even the 1.5.0 isn't updating.

What I done was delete the 'autoupdate.cfg' file then ran the updater.

that is a bad move joey, nothing good will happen when you delete the autoupdate.cfg.

If you are having issues still please attach your autoupdate_log.txt which can be found in the main install location

I have never been good at guessing, did my eldest son do his homework? am I close?

if you are still having issues your whole logs folder zipped and your autoupdate_log.txt would be really helpful :)

Tried deleting the bazar folder, tried using the dos window, tried updating from the start menu. Still no 1.5.2 for me.

I'm curious why the update shows up earlier for some than others?

As far as I know it becomes available the same time for everyone, however your client will only check once every 24 hours, unless your go to the start menu / eagle dynamics / openbeta update to launch the client or use the cmd line

Finally got it sorted. I did all the things you suggest but it would not update.

Then I remembered that I followed someone's advice for getting Nevada to install correctly when the installation was timing out:

run notepad as administrator

open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

add line: 158.69.22.224 srv4.update.digitalcombatsimulator.com

That's the address of srv3 and seems to work around it.

I removed that line and then it updated. Phew!:)

I decided to change my DCS start shortcut to "DCS_updater.exe update" - this way it checks for updates every time I run the simulator, so far a-ok
