Curious. Will this Strike Eagle have the more powerful F100 -229 engines over the F100s used in the F-15C and older E models?

Last time I checked (which was a while back), it was squadron-specific - the Lakenheath jets had the -229s and pretty much everyone else had the -220Es. So, if they're going to depict LN tails, you'd certainly hope so!

I'd rather see  a pointless 1960's aircraft like the EE Lightning shelved, and the work redirected to the F15E, as it's pretty obvious the F15E is a much more sought after module over the Lightning, w

Yes, the F-15E is the only missing bird of the collection we still have. F-14A/B, F-15C/E, F-16C, F/A-18C   Could really not understand why they set the work on it on hold for something like

🤢 Another flying tablet. I don't like those new "glass only" cockpits. But that's the future 🤔

I’m almost 95% sure MOHO has both, Vegas/Eglin has -229s as well as the Heath. Seymour has -220s.

All of lakenheath's Strike Eagles have -229's, Seymour and Mountain home have mixed -220/-229, it all depends on which squadron you go to. I can't remember off the top of my head, but some squadrons at Seymour/ Mountain Home are only -220 squadrons (the B-course for example) some are mixed, and some have only -229's. Its about 50/50 for the entire fleet being -229 vs -220

Seymour is 220s only, no mix.

Thanks. Has been a long time since I wrote about the Mud Hen. My only comment is that the motors are 220Es, not 220s. That would be pedantic, though!

Yes, you are just describing some of the internal swaptronics being changed out from a reliability standpoint...no extra muscle unfortunately.

what a story:

https://fleetaviationgazette.com/2019/05/10/nothing-short-of-heroic-backseater-lands-f-15e/

Irregardless this not being a true story and example where its a good thing such a backseat aicraft was included with controls.

RIP if something happens to the pilot a Tomcat.

Just to clarify my previous statement, you do know that article was 100% fake right?

And you miss the point of the post.

It's great the f15e wso has ability to pilot the aircraft in whatever circumstance unlike the f14 or other aircraft that dont, and vice versa roles can be reversed with the pilot still being able to fulfill the functions a backseater can.

would be nice if we got 2 F15E versions in 1 package

Current F15E model,

and a F15E produced with UFCD. relatively small deviation containing this new feature, what would other wise be the same aircraft.

That's the PAD (Passive Attack Display) that was mentioned here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3799199&postcount=1154

Yea I remember seeing that picture months ago, just forgot exactly what it was called.

Thanks for the extra info though.

And that's because?

Considering they have several others projects to maintain and develop before the F-15E and the low frequency of updates of this planes, this mean that it is still early in the development phase (all though they finished or are close to finish the 3D models apparently) and others projects will reduce its development speed, this is quite logical to think it will take a while to be released even in early access.

Are you sure about that ?

Because it appear they don't have many peoples in their team :
