[DO NOT IMPORT SETTINGS!!!] Importing control sets from 1.5 to 2.0 not working ?

I have tried multiple times to import my controls from 1.5 to 2.0 and not had any success ? so either a bug or not compatible or user error on my part ?

It is not recommended to import between versions as stated by devs.

I imported all modules key config and all works fine except the F86. (I own all modules :P )

A dozen keys are to rebind manually.

 

I spent from 3 to 8 hours on single module to set keybindings.

The day I'll forced to do it again I'll probably quit DCS. :D

I redid all my controls now, not sure why it wasn't working from 1.5, I am using multiple devices in my config, including TM Warthog, TM panels, couple of button box DX controller boards and CH Fighter Stick + MS FF Combo.......it didn't have the most simple profile to load in tbh :D

Print out the key bindings. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to set up each aircraft.

Yeah, I know I converted the bindings for the A-10C to HTTM yesterday,, it was well over 38 pages by itself.

Keep in mind, its not just the keybindings that will be painstaking to do from scratch,,, what about all those .lua files for exporting to multiple monitors etc,,,,

Its not recommended to do, but I understand why people want to, believe me, with all my test versions, I totally understand. :)

 

That said, can you describe your troubles better, sounds like maybe you just arent doing it quite right. Are you selecting the controller column and then clicking import? Making sure you are importing the right file for the right controller, etc.

I'm not importing anything, but have put my key settings in again for the new Mirage, Have a HOTAS Warthog, the joystick is working, and the throttle axes are working

But the flaps and airbrakes are on the Throttle, the keys say they've been seen, but had a couple of attempts. Saved the settings. But not operating.

Tested the canopy open close with the stick on paddle switch. Worked

Moved the airbrakes to the paddle, nothing

Did the throttle various buttons, same again, says working save, nothing works

Ideas on a postcard.....

Ok so shut down the pc restarted.

The throttle had an update

Tested setting up airbrake various keys, now not operating/seen in 2.0

Went back to the main game tested it, works fine as soon as game run

Will do a restart again, have to go out will be an hour or so but throttle set u works fine in other games and the maing dcs world game.

 

Not tested on 1,5 will do that and get back

Airbrake and gear keys for deployment / retraction and up/down is confirmed not to work in game. Only toggle keys work.

Thank you for that, yes I've got that in 1.5 & 2 cannot program the Warthog keys, thats not a problem and thank you for confirming it - I had the heart attack moment when I though the warthog had died lol

How I Import My Controls

 

1) First Open up options in DCS.

 

2) Select Controls/Layers - Category "all" (Example M-2000C).Controls.jpg

 

3) Highlight (Click) anywhere under (Example JoyStick HOTAS Wa).Highlight.jpg

 

4) Click Load Profile. Chose file, under the correct import module folder (C:\Users\PC\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\M-2000C).LoadProfile.jpg

 

5) Repeat Steps 1-4 till all controllers are set.

 

NOTE: IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED BUT IT SAVES ALOT OF TIME!
