unfortunately we could not push 2.0 to openbeta, because it is not working with caucasus map atm. that's why 2.0 is a different install (an openalpha, thank god there's no letter before that, lol).

but the installer should pick most of the files from your openbeta install.

Quick question while you're on, when the Caucasus does get ported into 2.0 will there be benefits to it? Specifically, will there be collide-able trees in the Black Sea?

I am sleepless since yesterday, unbelievable I stay up all night waiting for the new map but now I will be forced to wait a few weeks

I'm really angry :mad:

Its an Alpha version that is a stand alone from all the other DCS versions. Just download it as it is. You can pick it up when it hits beta on Steam.

I believe nothing will change. If it does we probably won't know, officially, anytime soon.

The change is taking it from a T3 map to a T4.

FOR USERS THAT ARE GETTING A NO THEATER PROMPT, AND HAVE A VALID NTTR LICENSE KEY

USE THE FOLLOWING COMMAND with 2.0 DCS Updater in Command Window:

dcs_updater install NEVADA_terrain

Do not Attempt to use the Command Line in DCSW 1.2.x or 1.5.x, or Steam.

A Valid License Key is Required for Activation

Thanks! This will take the evening before downloaded, but thanks. :thumbup:

:lol::music_whistling:

That is the initial copying of files from the beta install. You'll have an additional 2Gb after that, which will be painfully slow. Then you will have to copy/download any modules. From there you have an additional 24Gb for NTTR.

Ok so I got all my modules by just downloading each one ( it used torrent so did not take long) from within the module manager, it then gave me a prompt asking if I wanted to install Nevada - now that is downloading.

Back to making progress !

So if you are not getting a theatre prompt, you may just need to get your modules installed first.
