The pressure setting in the Kollsman window is not correct.

The weather is set to standard pressure (760/1013/2992)

1. Picture: Altitude 31m, Sochi

2. Picture: QFE set to 0m. Standard when joining.

3. Picture: Setting 1013 -> wrong altitude

4. Picture: Setting 31m altitude -> wrong pressure setting

The airport elevation changes depending on where you are at. Go to the data point which will be listed on the Sochi Taxi diagram or go to a runway touchdown zone.

Elevation for Rwy 24 touchdown is 85 meters

Rwy 06 touchdown zone is 35 meters

Rwy 02 touchdown zone is 50 meters

Rwy 20 touchdown zone is 90 meters

Hope this helps!

Answers to most important questions ATC can ask that every pilot should memorize:

1. No, I do not have a pen. 2. Indicating 250

Thank you Crumpp. But that´s not the issue here. I know that stuff, you´re talking about. But this bug has nothing to do with it.

The Bf109 is at 31m altitude (as seen with F2, picture 1). The airport is irrelevant. The atmosphere is set to ISA std day (as far as DCS permits it), 15°C and 1013,25hPa or 760mmHg or 2992inHg.

So when the pressure is set to 1013hPa, the altimeter of the Bf109 should be around 31m.

But it isn´t. It shows approx. 82m altitude. Nearly all the other aircraft show correct values then.

Bump.

The Bug is still valid for DCS 1.5.4.55169 open beta

For comparison: Kurfuerst and Dora at the same Airfield, same weather conditions

This is still a bug in our current Open Beta. Track attached. I setup a mission on Normandy. Standard pressure setting and temp of 10 deg C, with both axis and allied aircraft (109, 190A8, Spit and P51) at Needs Oar Point (close to sea level) and Evreux (slightly elevated).  Setting QNH gives a reading close to airfield elevation in all but the 109, likewise setting QFE gives a reading close to zero in all but the 109. Excuse the P51 at Evreux - for some reason that one on a parked hot slot spawns in with the parking brake off and high throttle set.
