The Kuz also has cockroaches all over it, the Nimitz class CVNs probably don't. Sea trials, requal exams, general quarters drills, and even just to shake things loose at the onset of a cruise or patrol. (You'll tie down those 5 gal paint cans NEXT time won't ya??) (take a piece of paper - the corner is 90 degrees. fold diagonally - 45. fold that in half - 22.5 Fold that in half ~ 11 degrees. It's about that between the deck and the line the water makes across the stern) Everybody's too fast - I had to google CVN-68 to see what it was... Cheers. It had 2 tiny keels that stuck out near the outer edge of the hull, not a large center- keel. USN pilots might certainly take some issue with me if I said CVN's are smooth sailors- They have to trap in rough seas!
