He's significant, you are not.. thats why people care (and he has also done hints with his avatar before..) They belong to the United States Navy and currently fly the F/A-18F Super Hornet, but Cobra is obviously referencing the F-14 which they have previously flown. It's a render from Leatherneck's facebook page. It's not VF-103, they became the Jolly Rogers after the disestablishment of VF-84 in 1995. The era and style is mid-80s VF-84.
