104th_Maverick
Mission file for next weekends event! After Red Flag 1 we discussed the mission and its layout and it was found to be popular, so this round we are going to see the same basic set up with the ground targets moved around to different locations. FLANKERATOR
S! Warriors, RF2 kick off closing in fast! Anybody able to record some footage is very welcome to do so. We would like to make a highlights video of the battle. Recording voice comms would also be a nice contribution. Thanks and see you all tomorrow! FLANKERATOR
It won't open in Tacview. Tried to open the file with at least the last 3 versions, it starts loading then stops around 30% before crashing. Yes I have saved the file locally and just re-installed Tacview. Weird. FLANKERATOR
Superb! We need to allockate team leader for each side and his back up. Assuming teams per side is finalised by now. Yes, we will hit that up after setting up the teams for JW4. Not sure if we already have enough pilots to fill all 4 teams, we should be close if not. I will check that out after publishing RF2 results. FLANKERATOR
Gentlmen, RF2 Official results are out, you can check them out here: http://sa-sim.com/red-flag-round-2-official-results/ Very tight battle as you will see, congratulations to both teams, the challengers for the victory and Opfor for a hard-fought battle despite being outnumbered. Next will be converting mission scores into SA points which will update the pilot, squadron and country rankings. Sorry for the little delay, RL got in the way. Bandit.
Doubt here. i committed and infringement by ignorance. during the event on the last flight i ran out of fuel in middle of the the AO. i tried to make it to an airport and failed. i ejected. i relaized that by this i was getting a well deserved loss. however, it seems i joined spectators before the aircraft actually crashed. this was considered and infringement. my question is about the relevancy of this. im getting a loss that i would have gotten anyway. are there any more implications to this? what difference would it have made if i had joined spectators after the crash? and last, i didn't bother landing the plane on a road or something because i realized it would have still counted as a loss. am i right with all this assumptions or would any of this scenarios have affected my final scoring in the event? thank you S77th_Bandit – Joining spectators after ejecting and before crashing near Beslan – Loss counted
FLANKERATOR
Hi Bandit, no you did not get any additional loss or penalty, the crash was not reported neither in the server logs nor in Tacview, so this is why it has been added manually. I understand joining spectators before crashing was not intentional. You ended up with one kill and one loss as you can see on the result page. Thanks for the feedback an looking forward to seeing you in the next event. FLANKERATOR
Rankings and Halls of Fame have been updated to include Red Flag 2. Next update (01.07.2015) will see JW1 reaching its drop date so a lot of points will have to be defended during JW4 for those who scored in JW1. Further, JW4 could be a grade B battle, i.e with more points at stake; this is yet to be confirmed. A detailed BattleFacts post coming up soon to highlight RF2 key performances. S!
