I think he means IL-2 like cooperative missions.

Missions that start all together from the ground, each side has an offence and a defence and the two sides are split according to these objectives, also you can't respawn after being shot down you have to wait for the next mission to start.

I dont know IL-2, but meant that type of missions, beside you and your mates are fighting against AI.

For example the type of missions, that guy ralphidude is doing with some chaps, take a look at this:

mh no...we run the server, to mainly enjoy PvP combat. there is AI in most of our missions to balance the numbers for both sides, but our goal is to populate the server enough, that the AI fighters become redundant.

I really like your Mod pack, but for now I can't use it. The new gun smoke (nice) has a very negative side effect: It makes WWII Flak (see famous flak script) invisible. Maybe you should find some new values that turn down gunsmoke but makes Flak still visible.

 

If you need help give me call, I'll also did some german voice recordings for my own missions.

we know, and with the next modpack, expect it hopefully next week, this will be fixed.we finally found a neat way to adjust it, without adjusting the aircraft lua files themselves, and also flak and other smoke effects will remain visible.

 

with the old way, we had flak bursts visible, but we had to adjust the aircraft lua files themselves...this meant, that we couldnt integrity check them...so they were open and a possibilty to exploit and adjust FM or guns and so on....so we decided to adjust another file instead, to make our integrity check able to check those mentioned files as well, to guarantee a fair gameplay...this is what you now have with the current modpack...as i already said, hopefully next week, i will release a new modpack, which doesnt suffer from invisble smoke&flak effects, but still gives us the possibilty to have untouched aircraft files.

as i heard it over ts yesterday it was got lost due to some "hardwarechangeing" but David was able to retrieve it from Bounders old track :D

 

The mission is beeing worked on at the moment and possibly we get it back on the server in the future. :thumbup:

FWIW, the mission you have up now says you killed a building when you shoot down an AI aircraft. When you check the pool window it says you destroyed an aircraft.

heya gav - thats usually an indication the mission is using MIST scripting to respawn an AI over. Not sure there is anything that can be done yet about that.
