And let's not forget that the Nevada map we see now was made pretty much from scratch because of work involved with the new graphics engine.

It looks 10x better now than what was originally planned. And how do I know? Well, you'll find out, eventually. :D

I don't understand all of the bitching and moaning in regard to paying for a map... A lot of resources got put into it, if you want it, you will need to pay to play.

For those that don't want to pay, there will always be Georgia theater.

As an individual that did buy during the beta and will be getting the map for free... I will still buy the map to support ED. NTTR that we are getting is not the Nevada map I flew over in the beta.

Just like I pledged for a higher package for the Mig-21, I still purchased the module at release to support the devs.

What do you mean? Steam games all auto-update, including DCS.

I think I am looking forward to EDGE and the NTTR map a lot more than GTA V on PC. What's wrong with me... ;)

Not a thing! I wish people wouldn't preorder GTA V, they should wait for reviews to make sure it's good first.

With EDGE and DCS we already have an awesome product, so we know it will only get better with this release.

Sadly after 19 years of simming, I just don't feel it anymore. It's the upshot of where I am not at financially in life, I'm sure. However, I kinda feel regular update and whatnot won't dull my sparkle this badly either.

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

No, you aren't. They lost me somewhere between "2014 is going to be an exciting year" and "Hard to say, but first half of 2015 might be hopeful."

Except, you know, I'm not waiting anymore. I have simply focused on other areas in my life, and if EDGE happens to come sometimes in the future, then, well, I guess I will take a look.

I have to say that my playing time has definitely dropped off in the past 6 months. I continue to purchase the modules that appeal to me as the come in, but the same ol same in scenery is a drag and takes away from my enthusiasm.

It's just a copy/paste of the unofficial roadmap that Silver Dragon's been curating on the English site:

Nice... thank you. Now I feel stupid, thinking this was something "on the inside" that only the Russian forum knew.... heh. :)

Going to subscribe to Silver Dragon's thread now.

You obviously dont know what they are already giving away with the development of DCS 2.0, at some point they need to get paid for what they are doing, the maps look incredible, I am not worried about having to pay for them...

If the price isnt to bad then it shouldnt be a problem.

Hope to see some FPS and vehicles added after it releases. Would DEFINITELY help. Arma's kind of dragged me away from DCS recently.

DCS is not likely to have playable infantry for a very long time, if ever.
