odd video "glitches" - lil help?

Recommended Posts

i get very light (transparent) shimmering horizontal lines

and, as i bank, i'll get angular transparent shapes appearing and disappearing

i wonder - is that my vid card? or my monitor?

should i change some settings?

i'm not a hardware guru - just a simple end-user --- could use some pointers on how to troubleshoot this..

thx!

I had this once and it was because my videocard was overheating, but I would be surprised if that's a problem with a gtx 770. are you overclocking the gpu?

I have also seen similar symptoms with an improperly seated video card. Try pulling and reseating the card.
