wiseking
Seems that when a su-25t is over-loaded, there'd be vortex even at taxi.
chev255
Not really sure how there could be vortices when there is no loading on the wing (i.e. when taxiing)?

Ktulu2
When its rainy, you also get vortex when taxiing the F-15 I do DCS videos on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAs8VxtXRJHZLnKS4mKunnQ?view_as=public
joey45
What's the weather in the mission? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Witchking
The wingtip vortex effect is now correctly modelled based on atmospheric humidity. I just don't know if speed is part of the equation. But it is normal to see vortex effects on a aircraft on the ground. Exorcet
The wingtip vortex effect is now correctly modelled based on atmospheric humidity. I just don't know if speed is part of the equation. But it is normal to see vortex effects on a aircraft on the ground. Velocity would be a factor. When the vortex drops below a certain pressure, you get a visible vortex. The pressure of the vortex depends on how hard the wing is working, which is a combination of velocity and AoA. It can show up at any speed depending on a bunch of factors, but I wouldn't expect to see it at taxi speed unless the wing had a really high angle of incidence. Ktulu2
At what conditions do you see them? I can't reproduce it, maybe my weather is wrong I don't know if you were asking me, but I saw them in the 51st server (don't know the exact settings). There basically is fog and rain low and no cloud «plate» I do DCS videos on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAs8VxtXRJHZLnKS4mKunnQ?view_as=public

wiseking
What's the weather in the mission? It's a fine day that day. There were sunshine. even in rainy day, there shouldn't be a vortex when i taxi at the speed of 20 knots, that's not the real.
