Well, when you don't have all the toys on your jets I guess it easy to cover the airframe in paint. :D

I just came on to post this beauty, you beat me to it. Why on Earth can't we paint our Typhoons like the Germans do?

There are a few practical reasons such as maintenance implications and extra workload placed on paint facilities. Don't forget we fly nearly twice as many hours as the Germans do, and we have aircraft deployed "operationally", so we don't have the same flex in our maintenance capacity/schedule to do this kind of stuff easily. In other words, we have more important things to worry about than pretty paint jobs.

Mmmh am I the only one who think those over the top paint schemes are dangerously close to being an insult to good taste and everything that is good and holy in that world? :D

If the answer is yes, then as a token of my good will, let me contribute and give some ideas for the next obvious paint schemes evolutions:

Actually IMO those fancy tiger colours make it look toyish more than a serious threat/menace, i prefer the very very dangerous with low profile colours look/combo.:noexpression:
