Hello dear flight enthusiasts, I am posting / linking the ASENA mission here. For feedback - improvements, general suggestions etc. . The goal was to create a relatively simple mission - which entertains through voiceovers - and requires spotting with the TGP. The mission should offer beginners a causal start and give a rough feeling for CAS missions. It is a close air support mission. A JTAC provides various information to you so that you can support the to ground forces. TGP & GBU-12 are in focus. I thought about processing complete 9liners - but this seemed too overwhelming for beginners, even if you only listen to them via audio. That's why I simplified it. No scripts or mods. I am not sure if this is a bug or intended as is but sometimes, when I track a site in the HAD, and then switch to the TGP, the TGP is just moving and doesn't lock the target in space. Look at the track files I have. I lock the SA-5 in the HAD just to get the general direction, then search with the TGP but in both Point mode and Inertial reference mode, the picture keeps moving. I have not figured out the reason why it only is sometimes, but it is happening in the attached track files. I would exepect the TGP to be stabilized once I take it over with the SOI or especially when I move the TGP via the throttle joystick. I have no clue on how to reduce the time it takes to the action in the track files, but skip to : 08:03:00 for file 1 08:01:50 for file 2 (Ignore the bad flying) My guess is that this happens when the waypoint is far away from the SAM site, but I have not confirmed it. Hi I was just watching this video from January update and on 1:35, Waggs talks about correlating the TGP with a EW signal. Dos someone knows how to do that? is there a sequence to just tell the tgp to look at a signal? Thanks!

Hello, I've noticed two issues with IR marker on TGP litening 1) IR marker flickering, it is know issue? Only MT, on "old" client it is without flickering 2) IR marker ignores masking by plane It is known issue? It is track needed? Thanks! Best regards

Two IQAF(Iraq Air Force) Mirage F1 EQ-5 from 81st Squadron departed from Saddam AB at 31st July 1986, The 1st equiped with two Magic, two AS30L and Patrick laser pod, the 2nd equiped with two Magics, two Super530Fs, Remora/Sycomor pods and 1,160L external fuel tank, due to the mountain topology it was a hard target, approached the bridge from northeast at 820 km/h at 4000m, dived to 2700m and locked the pod on the bridge deck at a distance of 8.7km at 1900m, at 6.4km from the target he fired the AS30L missile. Iraq previously attacked with Su-22 and been able to damaged it lightly.

Hi everyone. Few weeks ago I bought A-10C Tank Killer for DCS. I was flying with Thrustmaster T1600M. It was great, was working perfectly. Recently I bought Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and I'm having problem with two things. First of all is creating SPI with TGP by clicking TMS FWD LONG. It's simply not working at all, it is not creating SPI. It locks target from area mode to point mode by clicking it short, but that's it. Second issue outcomming from the first one is I cannot slave TGP to SPI, because there is no SPI at all. Clicking China Hat FWD Long is not working. However China Hat AFT Long Works perfectly so is China Hat FWD Short for zoom of TGP. It was all fun and games, with T1600M, all worked perfectly, but now with warthog something went wrong. I had profile for T1600M, but deleted it. Reinstalled game few times (I have Steam version). The button on joystick and throttles phisically works, so it is more like binding problem or my stupidity and not paying attention while learing. Could you guys be so kind and help me a bit with that? Brgds, Chris.

After the Viper's TGP powers up, and I go to the Laser Code DED page, which is blank, the TGP shows a 1688 code in the MFD view, as indicated in the attached picture w/red boxes. Is this correct, and if so, where is it getting this value? I don't think this is the weapon code since when I change the LST code on the DED page, the MFD TGP code above the LSS line changes to the new value, and in the case of my example no-box picture, 1687. I'm thinking the TGP view at power up should be blank. True? If so, then if DED LSR PAGE = Blank, TGP MFD = Blank. If DED LST line = X, TGP MFD = X. DCS 2.7.7.14727 Open Beta Single and multi-player Syria Map Incirlik AB HOT ON RAMP start w/the following actions by me: Power on TGP w/right hardpoint power on. TGP selected on right MFD in A2G master mode. Await TGP power up and showing view, which has the 1688 as shown in the red-box picture. DED LIST > MISC > LASER/5, code shows blank, enter 1688 code and hit enter for both lines, after dobbering down. It sticks in DED when I go back into DED, and of course, the MFD TGP view doesn't change since it already read 1688. Same functions in previous line, above, changed to 1687, which sticks and shows on TGP as 1687. Track attached showing me entering 1687 first so you see the TGP MFD code change from 1688 to 1687, and then 1688 to see it change back. LaserCodeTGP-DED.trk

Hi everybody Although some other guys have written about this I'll have a shot at it too. I have some problems hitting with my JDAM's GBU-38. I have made some testflights and it seems somehow random if the bomb hits smack on, long or short. On pic 1 you can see my coordinates is spot on the target ....bomb is dropped in level flight - 6.000' and 400 kts. It hits a little long and to the right of target -pic 2. Next bomb is set to hit steer 2 -pic 3, and is released without engaging the TGP - hits spot on the turret -pic 4. Third time the bomb fell short by a long distance- pic 5. So 1 hit out of 3 bombs dropped. Could one suspect that the TGP is the problem? But then again ....my laserguided boms always hits spot on. Any suggestions? Regards Bo 'BOS'

As the title says, I wonder if we are going to get Sniper XR TGP for the Viper. As far as I know it's been planned but lately on some FB group I read that it's been removed from the roadmap. Irl f-16s block 50 started getting their Sniper pods in 2007 and ED says that that's exactly the era that they're aiming for with this module. Does anybody have any info on this matter or is it still a mystery?

@AlphaJuliet ATM gain control in TPOD page is not implemented, will this be implemented? Gain control is very important and now, with new FLIR, it is needed

To reproduce: Enter offset aim points either through the DEST page or using the TGP Verify offset aim points show up in HUD With TGP SOI press TMS down or press OSB CZ Observed result: Offset aim points are reset and are removed from the HUD Expected result: TGP goes back to either the selected STPT or OA cz_removes_oa.trk

I tried the M version after a while and found two important issues: 1. When the chopper is placed on hover the pilot loses the control of the rudder, its remaing in the last heading when the hover was activated. 2. In Hover, with the camera stabilized on a point, when the chopper is slaved to it, the camera does not be stabilized anymore, and it drift mainly to the right, when I tried to compansate manually the position, could drift to the left. So it is impossible to fix the camera to a target I tried the same test with L version, the issue 1. is the same, but the issue 2 seems to be inexistent.

I have found this weird behavior of the TGP (Litening): Use WPDSG to select waypoint as target. Activate the TGP and move it. Use SCS right 3 times to cycle to Area, Point and back to Inertial mode. When going back to inertial, the TGP is moved to the target designated point. Note that if TDC is pressed before moving the TGP away from the WPDSG point and then cycled with SCS to Area, Point and Inertial, the TGP does not move away from current position (last cycle in the track was done using this method). Hi, We are getting first the 2005 version, then a 2010 and lastly 2015 version of the Strike Eagle... Will the 3 versions, therefor also have different weaponry available, and anyone know which or what will be available with each version... or will the versions only effect the UFC and which TGP to choose from? Thanks.

While working through one of sedlo's amazing missions, it requires a GBU point track on 2 trucks, firstly, it wont let me box CDES, which is my understanding is required for moving targets, and this has happened a few times, resetting mission sometimes fixes, but in none of the missions ive tried, not one occasion have i been able to get an active point track to grab a moving target, does it even work atm? or am i missing something.. simple undoubtedly..

Hi all, I juste upgraded from 2.8.1 to 2.8.4 and I got half of the grey levels missing on a deported display showing TGP (Right or Left MFD). Same issued with MAVS optical. grey levels are OK in the cockpit display but darker on the deported display. Checked on A10-II and not such a problem. So this seems related to Viper only. Any one else reporting this ? Any workaround / fix ? Thanks in advance for your feedback. GL38

Since update 1.7b added as a test 1 more page LIM (Limitations) also give it a sort of ipad look both clean/dirt version (removed since V1.8), to print or use as kneeboard with some useful info about F/A-18C Hornet Armaments/Weapons/Flight Deck procedure, very basic but handy especially during the first missions.
