This is an issue on the PVP side of things, but I didn't see a mention of it in the bug tracker so I thought I'd give it a post! The Fishbed's radar doesn't produce a lock warning on the RWR if any human piloted aircraft in DCS. It does produce a nail when searching, and It even provides a launch warning when firing in R3R. But never a lock warning. The sequence when piloting an F5 or other aircraft in a PVP environment is: MiG flips radar on -> 21 nails appear. MiG locks you -> nails disappear MiG fires an R3R -> Still no nails, launch warning sounds. This may be related to the Fishbed's radar acting like a laser, though this is something I've just heard through the grapevine of discord.

Ever wanted more (accurate) blips and bloops in your favourite aircraft? We'll you're in luck my friend. I present my "More accurate Apparat 27" ("MA-APP27" for short) mod. This is my attempt to get more accurate RWR sounds in the Viggen. My goal with this was to get more, and more accurate sounds and sound durations based on each radars actual scan speed and PRF. Each radar I've added/ changed has been researched, unfortunately a lot of them are still classified or just impossible to find the needed data on. In cases where I could not find any data I copied data from a similar radar and and changed it slightly. Sometimes I just did something that felt "right", but tried to stay as close to reality as possible with my very limited radar knowledge. The mod currently have: 8 EWR 29 SAM's 19 ships 34 aircraft 4 AWACS 8 active A-A missiles It also corrects the RWR antenna FOV to be 60deg. The mod does pass IC. DOWNLOAD HERE - v4.9 CombatFlite ELINT library Audio library A "short" video I put together for you to get a sense of the mod. Change log: V4.9: Added new SA10 units (Flap Lid and Tin Shield), and also C-RAM V4.8: Added F-15E. Changed a bunch of signals for units for better accuracy. Added high-pass filter for PRF. V4.7: Fix for SA-10 radar giving constant CW warning, a bunch of other changes (already added to base module) V4.6: Added two new "ambulance" tones - CW and high PRF warning V4.5: Added SON-9 and Mirage F1 V4.4: Added ships the SA asset pack V4.3: Corrected RWR antenna FOV V4.2: Added AN/FPS-117 V4.1: Signal changes to some aircraft and SAMs. CW signal on most SAMs and aircraft for lock V4.0: Added SA-5 TR "Square Pair" V3.2: 11 radar sounds changed, 4 silenced V3.1: Added AIM-54, fixed 19J6, added NASAMS V3: 30 new radars modelled. reported internally R-3R is not giving launch warnings to its target

I was in the F-5 with my RWR's "Search" mode off. When "Search" mode is off, the F-5's RWR normally shows all radar-guided launch warnings, both visually and aurally. I'm well attuned to the launch warning sound. This MiG-21 was off my nose roughly co-altitude, clearly not in any RWR blind spot above or below me. The only warning I got was the smoke, at which point even an 8g pull was not enough to avoid the R-3R missile. I heard reports of similar experiences from other players in the A-10 and A-4. Hi I was just watching this video from January update and on 1:35, Waggs talks about correlating the TGP with a EW signal. Dos someone knows how to do that? is there a sequence to just tell the tgp to look at a signal? Thanks!

I thought I would "cross post" my Viggen mod here. What it does is adding more realistic RWR signals to our favourite aircraft. From 12 individually modeled radars, to 88 with the mod.

Hello Ed, due to the changes to cockpit script files during the last patch, my RWR export now breaks integrity check. I have a home cockpit and I need to export my RWR to use the F16. How do I do it now? I used to have this line in my RWR_ALR56_init.lua dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") try_find_assigned_viewport("F16_RWR") and then in my monitor config F16_RWR = { x = 3760; y = 1440; width = 480; height = 480; } How do I export the RWR after this patch, without breaking integrity check?

Occasionally I get RWR missile warnings while parked on the airport or taxing at low speed toward the runway. This can be observed 2 times in the past 5 mins of this track. Note: i spent most of the time watching the Mig-21 pilot flying, before I turned my engines on. Hi there, I've created a list of RWR codes, radar ranges and threat range/altitude for all Jets, Sam, AAA and Ships: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1acBsCd8hJvrrVb2SaIW4CaHbSx1JbvavbeeHVrpNJeg The numbers come from my own testing, like for instance the red numbers for the SAMs: these are the ranges/heights at which you'll be safe (although range is subject to your speed/altitude of course). Maybe someones else can use it too I have it as a 2-page PNG in my Kneeboard app on a 2nd monitor for instance, that's why it's in a "dark" design... hf!

The F-4's RWR is an iconic device that presented raw radar audio to the pilot. Heatblur is probably the best simulation developer I know of. However, I found their previous attempt at raw RWR audio in the DCS Viggen lacking in fidelity. I made a mock up scenario to illustrate what the F-4 pilot would of heard during an SA-2 detect to engage sequence. Though I've shortened it down to save time. I made these tones in audacity. Pressing the BIT button on the RWR while the current RWR BIT is playing the missile launch audio or recycled missile launch audio will make it repeat infinitely until pressed again. Also, unknown if this is intentional, but you can run the RWR BIT before the display is turned on. F-16 RWR BIT Bug.trk

Hi, recently I created a multiplayer server with my friend (whom was in an F16) and discovered that when he is locking on or even tracking, the tone nor display fails to update/create sound. I am given a warning when my radar detects him, but other than that, absolutely blank. I'm not sure if this is known, but it is ruining the multiplayer dogfight experience with friends for me at the moment. I have followed countless tutorials on how to set everything up, all buttons pushed correctly and same with settings (as it says on the EW), however it still fails to receive. Please see details below MAP - MARIANAS (however I have experienced this on Caucaus, too) SERVER - MISSION EDITOR CREATED, BASIC 2 FIGHTER SETUP WITH ADEQUATE LOADOUT. MISSON - FREE FLIGHT/MISSION EDITOR BASIC SETUP SYSTEM SPECS - RTX 3060, RYZEN 5 5600X 6 CORE PROCESSOR, 16GB RAM, 1.2TB STORAGE, WINDOWS 11. If any more needed, please say CONNECTED DEVICES - LOGITECH G502, THRUSTMASTER HOTAS T16000M THROTTLE+STICK, HEADSET, KEYBOARD ETC SCREENSHOTS OF BUG: ATTACHED On the screenshot, you can clearly see that I have the ALR-67 set to 'RCV' and the ALE-47 set to 'STBY'. Even when I change the ALE-47 to another setting, it still does not work. ASPJ is 'REC' which is normal, and information is displayed on my HUD yet still fails to give me information on when the bandit is engaging. Next, you can see my ECM control panel. I have set this up correctly, with ECM set to REC, and the panel being ON. Therefore, all options have been distinguished and I am not sure on what to do next. I know the multiplayer experience with the hornet is a bit buggy at the moment, but please tell me if this is simply my error, or a game bug. Thanks, zfoxy

So, as some of you may be aware, the 145th PMC Group is no more. I was forced to leave, and the unit was re-branded. Since then, I've been working on something... interesting. Something... big. No, it's not a module (I wish I had the time and talent), nor is it a mod... though it will use them. It's not small, and it does involve some alternate universe shenanigans to work... but I think it's something the community will like. What is it? Well, I'm going to just build some suspense. But as it's built... keep tuned here for updates. Both for the world building... and for the eventual launch of the Discord. Until then, just keep tuned. See you all on the battlefield.
