Hello, pls comment this. So no any opponent for the Corsair? Overall, I wouldn't really like shooting the second Corsair. We can as well talk about Corsair vs. Mirage dogfights, e.g. Generally, it doesn't make sense, but maybe something wasn't said or in this interview they only talk about the work of the ED team and not other developers. So it will be or not?

Hi all, I'm planning on getting a new PC soon, I haven't found any solid guidance on transferring my keybinds from my old PC to my new one the easiest way. Do I have to save each input profile and transfer them over then load them individiually? Or can I simply transfer over my "Config" and "InputUserProfiles" and then not have to load up each profile individually (This i'm hoping for because I'm lazy). Thanks for any help!

Hi, After a long time flying the hornet in game, I tried the F16 and realized that in the HSD one is able to mark and track points there. Also I know that in the A10 one can create markpoints and waypoints from the TSD. I would like to know if it is possible in the hornet to do so or if it´s a missing function or if the hornet doesn´t have the slew and mark function on any of the SA and HSI pages. Thanks!

So I have been doing lots of digging as I am trying to make some accurate missions. First question, does anyone know whats the run down on the VSN A7? I see that some people have had it, but it seems like there is a bunch of politics behind the model. I also see that Hawkeye60 made one, however the cockpit only shows the HUD, and only few liveries. Lastly, there is a Russian one on user files, but its a mess of files. Has anyone gotten that to work? I just figured there would be more people wanting one considering its history and operators. Secondly, it seems like HARMs that used to track radars from VSN planes no longer track right. They will star off like they are going to hit the target, however they either go wide left/right, or overshoot the target. Does anyone have a fix for this? Lastly, the VSN F4E will destroy itself when shooting off Sparrows. Is there a fix for this?

I know it's a lot to ask. But the amount of information you can feed into the system is a lot more than currently used by fw assets. There needs to be a way to feed all that info to the aircraft besides fat fingering for the better part of 30min with the amount of entry errors to boot. data Comms VHF/UHF/FMx2/HF for every unit Waypoints/TGT/coordinating measures/Route's/Maps Laser codes Default modes for systems

Hi so I already following some guide video to do this but still can not shoot my gun in A-A mode. I know others people have same issue and they said check the air source to set as both. I already do that but still not working. anyone can help me? thanks. Attach the video when I tried to do that, in the video you will see I can fire my missile but not gun. 2023-11-26 14-18-36.mp4 Another video show that in same condition, but in A-G mode the gun did work. 2023-11-26 14-26-39.mp4

Hi All, I found the g_suit paramotor under the crew members is deferent in each plan. Some have value 0f 0.75 and some have of 5 I read some post from 2019-2020 that say the value need to be from 0-1 some examples from the "aircraft module".lua F-15E g_suit = 2.0, MB-339 g_suit = 1, Mig-15 g_suit = 0.35, F-16C No sech value

just curious, seems the horizon is almost at the bottom of the hud when almost touchdown, then how about on the glideslope ? Where there the runway would be smaller.

Hi all, In mission 9 i set up the correct frequency for overlord. Then overlord keeps sending updates on his position (regular DCS engine radio messages). These updates interrupt the custom campaign communication with overlord. It is not mission breaking. I can still read the message on the upper left corner. Do you guys know how I could make awacs stop sending updates or circumvent communication in order to hear the campaign communication with Overlord but no updates on his position? Br, Emuyen

I saw a video where Tricker says using pinky switch to zoom in on the fcr, useful for more easily getting a better picture of two targets close together. When I'm trying to use the nws/missile step button nothing happens. Is nws button not the same as pinky switch? I couldn't find any key binding for it.

Hello everyone, I'm in the middle of my simpit update.. just purchased VKB gunfighter III ( combat pro Grip). Now I’m looking to upgrade my throttle. So asking for feed back. Just as an FYI, upgrading from tmw. And mostly fly F-18 and the F-16. ( thinking of later flying the AV8) thank you

I keep seeing eagles flying around at mach 2 with ease. Yet, when I try that in the flanker it takes 5 minutes just to get to mach 1.5. I figured it was the weapons drag+fuel weight, so I put it in the editor with no weapons and reduced fuel so it had the same internal fuel as the eagle. The eagle still accelerated faster than the flanker. Ok, so maybe the extra weight of the flanker is causing more drag which is more important than thrust at supersonic speed? I thusly reduced the flanker's fuel even more until the flanker and eagle had the same total weight. Now I was certain that the flanker would leave the eagle in the dust because it has 44 more kN of thrust with the same weight. The eagle out accelerated the flanker again. This time I let the simulation run until the eagle had reached 2000 kmh. The flanker was still creeping toward 1600 kmh. My question is, why is this so? Does the larger airframe create too much drag to accelerate much past 1500 kmh? Does the airframe compromise aerodynamics in favor of high AoA controllability? Do the air intakes on the flanker not perform as well at supersonic speeds compared to the eagle? Does the space between the engines on the flanker cause some kind of drag at supersonic speeds? tl;dr Why doesn't the flanker's additional 44 kN of thrust make it accelerate faster than an eagle of the same weight? flanker-eagle-acc.trk

How does one assign a road base or FARP as a landing point in the Mission Editor? So far all my attempts have resulted in the closest base to the starting point being selected as both L1 and L2. EDIT: I know it can be done on the F10 map using markers, but these will be air-starts so that's not available. Thus it needs to be done in the mission editor.

I frequently see questions asked about whats the best loadout or real loadout, but my question is built from that and a tad more specific'ish lol. When would you use what, for what type of mission or target. i.e.: IR Mav for the super strong tanks (i cant remember what they are, maybe T90?) JDAMS for multiple targets in area where you cant get super close Answers such as that. The reason I ask the question is because I am still trying to learn the different types of ammo and what they are good for, versus the way I am currently going about things...shoot mavs at the SA's, drop JDAMS on tanks even though idk if they're heavy, shoot rockets at the AAA trucks and brrt whatever else i can find and do flippie and spinnies dodging SA missles from manpads and AAA from the trucks lol. This is my way of trying to be better and ask questions to be better

Up until today, and based on what I'd seen in the Hind, I always assumed the drift angle needle is there just to tell you where the helicopter is actually moving vs. where the nose is pointing, i.e. whether you're crabbing and how much. Reading Chuck's guide on how to use the DISS-15 nav system though suggests otherwise: This suggests that it's instead about how far off the designed heading you are currently, basically replicating the HSI in a sense. Can anyone say for certain which it is? I would think it's working the way I originally thought, because regardless of whether the dead reckoning system is turned on or not, and whether you have any source of direction for the HSI or where your heading bug is pointed, the indicator mostly seems to point towards direction of travel. And when navigating I've kept the heading steady with yaw channel/heading hold turned on (confirmed by HSI heading being steady), and adjusted the drift angle shown by the indicator by rolling the helicopter to the left or right a bit. EDIT: Oh, and the "Drift Angle KM" (or the more accurate "Lateral Deviation km" in the Hind), can anyone confirm how exactly it should be read? Is Chuck's example showing 4 km and Left telling me that the actual track I should be on is 4 km to the left, or that I've deviated 4 km to the left, and should move 4 km to the right?

With the litening pod SOI, slewing around the TGP within the HUD used to update the designator as it was slewed, now the designator only updates when TDC is depressed, is this how it should be? With the ATFLIR installed this still works and the designator updates while slewing, it only appears to be broken with the litening pod?

Hi, I've had the DCS F5 for a while but always been annoyed by the fact that I can't find a tdc slew axis (apart from the mouse one). I'm assuming this is because the real aircraft uses a hat switch, but with my current hotas it's been quite hard to find any room for this. Just wondering if I missed a binding, or if there's a way to have this as an option. Thanks, sorry if this is in the wrong category, still a bit new to the DCS Forums

Hi, from the 2.7.1 Changelog under "Added Raid assessment (RAID)" Situation awareness mode (SAM) and One-look RAID are listed. I can't find info on what these both do / mean. I can box 1LOOK RAID but see no change. I can't find SAM mode. Can somebody please shed some light on the matter? Thank you Sile

I am looking to make a private custom plane mod, and already have the cockpit model and exterior model that I want to use. I have not found a conclusive answer to whether I can only use FC3 aircraft like the F-15 as a base, or if I could theoretically use the F/A-18, even if it would be harder. I want to have the multi mission capabilities something like the F/A-18 provides ideally. I could see the clickable cockpit being a problem, although I would eventually like to make my aircraft clickable, no matter how hard that is. Thanks for any answer in advance. Or say I want to take something like the VSN F-35 and put my cockpit model into it, any ideas on how to go about that? Thanks.

Hi folks, I can‘t seem to fly coordinated in the hind. When I believe to fly coordinated (horizon leveled, ball centered, inertia gun cross in line with fixed cross, bullets flying straight and so on) and I look at the Drift Angle Indicator, it is usually nailed to the left at 40. When I try to manage the drift angle I usually end up turning. I don‘t have those problems in the Hip. There the Drift angle is usually off just a little and easily correctable. Am I missing something or is the Drift Angle Indicator wip?

With all the discussions regarding trimming, why isn't an auto-trim option implemented which removes the necessity to trim? I guess it should be easy to implement. I'd appreciate it...
