I've ran into problems trying to us the touch controller; mainly being that DCS won't let me set controls on the touch controller. This has been a issue for me because the rest of the game works great with the Quest 2. I've tried all sorts of things but time and time again its amounted to nothing. These problems can be shown in the instance that I can operate the UH-1H and F/A-18C BUT my rudder does not work on the UH-1H although works perfectly normal on the F/A-18C. The default control for the F/A-18C is the "Joystick" attached to the quest 2 controller; particularly the right one. Has anyone else encountered this problem with the Oculus Quest 2 touch controller not key bindings?

Question to VR Harrier Drivers out there: Just got a Quest 2 and couldn't be happier! Things are pretty well sorted out for me in the F/A-18 (though always tweaking to get it better). Harrier looks great and is a blast to fly in VR as well, but I have one issue: When doing Cold Start or Shut Down, I have a lot of trouble "reaching" the switches and controls at the back of the panels. Ejection Seat Safe, OBOGS, DECM, Fuel Cutoff lever etc.. Seems like my head tracking doesn't work that far even when I crank myself around and when I try to get the mouse back there it kicks the dreaded "WINDOW IS NOT THE FOCUS" error. I have the checkbox in DCS VR for keeping the Mouse within Window Boundaries so I don't know why it keeps kicking the focus out. Happens in the F/A-18 as well, but for that the head tracking pointer works great, and I have been using THIS METHOD: Any ideas for a setting? Mask maybe?

well ive tried a few places to no avail, nobody seemed to understand what i ment so i made a video, i hope someone can help me out because i was having no problems the first few times i played and than i tried to up the resolution and something went wrong with whatever i did. it happens in star wars squadrons as well. in SW Squads tho i cant even get past the initial load screen, anyway when i start dcs the main screen is fine no issues at all and than when i select a mission and start it thats when everything goes to hell in a hand basket. the loading screen kinda like almost doubles rendered on top of each other and jumps like in the video here and than when i get into the cockpit it happens more sometimes if i kinda hold my head still and up high it wont move but as soon as i move my head at all the jumping starts. its nauseous and the game is now completely unplayable, i was going to get the p47 to add to my 109 and f15 and flanker mods but i dont think im going to now.... its very disheartening cause i was just starting to really get into the working of the realistic components aspect. someone PLEASE HELP!!! lol thanks yall DCS WHAT!!!.mp4

JM

Hey! I have an Index and a Quest 2. I usually play DCS in my Index. Using the regular Beta client, this still works absolutely fine. However, if I try and set the MT version to launch in VR mode, it completely refuses to open in Steam VR on my Index. Instead it keeps opening Oculus Home (even though my Quest isn't plugged in or turned on) and the game still just keeps running in 2D. If I plug in my Quest 2 and turn it on, it will happily launch right into the Quest in VR mode but I'd much rather use my Index (comfort and FoV). I saw some comments about Skate zilla's tool (which I'd never heard of until now) but alas, that isn't helping me either as it appears you choose a build by selecting the parent folder for the build, rather than the bin folder containing the .exe. I also tried opening Steam VR first, then launching the MT client, to no avail. Does anyone know a workaround for this? It's super challenging even googling for help on this as the search terms are always so broad. Thanks. Ps. I'm an absolute novice with DCS - I only play it every now and then so go easy on me with the nomenclature. I'll likely need help with context if there are any super technical answers. Thanks again PPs. This is the native DCS client I'm using, not the Steam version.

So I have an 11700F in a pre built pc (judge away) been fighting bugs in DCS VR since inception but finally got the base game (I play on standalone and mostly pve on base maps). Downloaded multithread beta and did some testing with tracks between MT and OG style threading. On MT, with the in game FPS counter, it says it's CPU capped, however, I get no bottleneck notifier in single thread. Frame difference between the two is 3-5FPS but inconsistently. Any ideas other than a new CPU and MOBO??? Full specs in comments- help me find the missing frames please!!! I did some additional testing unfortunately im not smart enough to track logs or explain this but I'll try. Capped at 45fps in Quest software, I can consistently get 35-40fps in Single thread by turning basically everything down to low and a couple items to medium. However, same exact settings in MT, I still get wild fluctuations from 22fps to mayyyybe 32 was the highest I saw. The only explanation I have for this is that my single thread game is installed to the nvme and multithread beta is installed on an external USB 3.0 ssd. I MAY have answered my own question but im coming to the pros seeking advice and correction if I haven't. I'm not looking for wild 120fps on the oculus, just a good balance of being able to read DDIs and go from being heads down in the cockpit to heads up without frame drop or hitching that causes me to miss things. My tests were done using a low level track about 60sec long on an empty caucuses map in the F18, and similar results were duplicated in the uh1h. I was flying about one day and had to go into the map. When I got back into cockpit view I had a lag spike that wouldn’t go away. So I quit the game and restarted my PC. I started to open the frame counter and saw my frame time went from 22 all the way up into the 90’s. My frames go down from 35-45 in each eye, down to 5-8 and you bet it makes it unplayable in VR. I noticed this about 6 months ago and it happens nearly every time I go into the F10 map, with few exceptions. I’m not sure what kind of track files you’d want to start with, but I sure could use some help squashing this bug.

I'm playing DCS ver2.8.6.6.41066.1 OB with Oculus Quest 2 over USB 3 cable. The last few times the Oculus app just randomly appeared on screen mid game and caused DCS to terminate (not crash mind you, it just disappeared from the headset but was still on the monitor with no way to get back into it). I have auto updates turned off in the app (even though I already have the latest version of the software). Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, any solutions? Obviously it is super frustrating. Thank you.
