  1. Currently the undercarriage warning horn engages at +7 lb/sq.in. boost. That is the Max Continuous power setting according to the manual (DCS) and Pilot Notes (real-world). Pilot Notes provide various cruise power settings for the Mosquito - including -4 lb/sq.in. for long range cruise. This is currently unobtainable without the Gear Horn. EDITED: Mosquito Horn.trk
  2. Hey all, I am trying to align the Mavericks but it doesn't work. I am on the ground with a tank located on the other side of the runway. I have the F16 pointed at the tank and I am positioned at the opposite end of the runway. I set the Mavericks to PRE mode. I slew the TGP to the tank and TMS forward to lock the tank. I then slew the Maverick (which is not pointed towards the tank, it's off) and center it on the tank then TMS up. The Maverick locks the tank and BSGT appears and I click it. That should be it right? If I TMS aft on the Maverick to unlock the target, the Maverick slews back to being off again. Anyone have any luck with this? I have watch Wags video on aligning the Mavs but I can't get it to work.
  3. Sometimes in tws if I bug say 3 targets with tms right, I can cycle through them and everything but if I lose lock and they disappear off the radar, once they reappear, I can only bug one. I’ve tried it with tms up trying to bug them individually and with tms right to bug them all. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I was doing some air to ground practice in a mission today and was maybe lets say being a bit "ham handed" & unsympathetic to the poor old jet, ( Piling on the G's in the turns when loaded ect) firstly I noticed that it was becoming somewhat unresponsive - I had to really be slow and steady with the controls. Carried out another dive bomb attack and when rolling out aquire the target,. the jet was all over the place...then there was bang and the wing came off!!!! When the jet first started feeling "not normal" 5 minutes previously, I did wonder if anything was wrong, but could see no cautions etc... So is it modelled that the jet can be damaged by insensitive handling in this situation? and why no warnings? I would have thought the FCS would step in etc and you would at least get some cautions etc? I have many hours in the jet and never had anything like this happen before so am curious ? Random failures is off as well..... Thanks
  5. Anyone's had the same issue ?? At the exactly same airfield , datalink works fine on a started F16 , but when I cold start another one , after I got everything done (things I think are needed to be done) , datalink still don't show up , no other planes on the display whatsoever .,.. I compared the buttons and settings on my plane and that of the started one , no difference , so what did I miss ???? That was so weird ...
  6. In my test flights and on most youtubes we can observe that he inclinometer needles appears to move out of sync with the true conditions, as if it was in a rather dense medium... It's slow responding to turns and it actually looks like not correctly synced with the "physics" of those turns... Apparently the turn coordinator needle works acceptably though... Very evident on this video, if you monitor the inclinometer:
  7. The preferred method for landing tail wheel aircraft is often tail up, main wheels only. Like this ... Mosquito landing.mp4 However, this is impossible to do with the DCS Mosquito at present as no matter how little the vertical velocity is on touchdown there is a huge nose up pitch moment that cannot be counteracted. It seems that the full aircraft weight is being applied immediately at touchdown instead of ramping up slowly as weight is gradually transferred onto the wheels. I have flown many tailwheel aircraft in real life and all that is required is a minimum sink rate and to nudge the stick forward a bit when you feel the wheels touch. I would love to be able to do the same here.
  8. I've noticed that the artificial horizon is often not aligned with the horizon. Usually because it does not erect properly after engine start and remains toppled.
  9. anybody else seeing this one, did a mission tonight and all the fuel gauges were flickering full to empty continuously didnt matter if i changed tanks or left them on one or other, strange thing was did same mission again in multicrew and they didnt do it? first time ive seen it so will keep closer eye on it.
  10. It seems that radio transmissions to the Tl1155 (not the Tl1143) stop after a few minutes. If you set a unit (eg a truck) with it transmitting a looped wav file on say 130Mhz then you can listen all day on teh TR1143, however if you do the same on 3Mhz and listen on the TR1155 when you can hear it for a couple of minutes (inc DF) after which it cuts out completely (inc DF). As such it's not possible to use DF properly
  11. Hi, Question to DCS OpenBeta F16 module. I can't get AI wingman to listen to my commands at all. I know I'm using correct frequency on COM2 since he gives me mud spike calls and contact calls etc. 1. I have easy communications turned OFF. 2. I'm tuned into correct frequency (assumption since I can hear his calls) 3. I know I'm using VHF radio since when I use rctrl+\ and then choose a command, the VHF frequency get's highlighted on DED. Is it just broken in Open Beta (or maybe at all).? BTW. Other communication (ATC, tanker) works fine.

  13. Playing Operation Slingshot, My A.I wingman lost both his engines due to Archie (No, not the pilot assistant). I'm sure he then radioed to say he was bailing out, over Calais, but, several minutes later, with me having made it back across the Channel, crash landed, and then spending a few minutes observing the FW 190, ESCORT, the Boston/Havoc's (?) back across the Channel to dear Ol Blighty (live and let live seemed to be the motto for the day), my attention turned to the my beaten up A.I wingman, crew still ensconsed, propellers stopped and feathered, streaming smoke, flying forever circles, just south of Calais. I continued to watch him for several minutes before finally getting bored and ending the game.
  14. No explosion of internal bombs after release in the training bomb run so you don’t know what you’ve hit

When giving units (t-72's in this case) waypoints, the unit will turn and drive towards the given waypoint. however, after a certain distance or period of time the vehicle stops as if it has reached the waypoint. giving a new waypoint gets the vehicle moving again but it never really seems to get more than halfway to the waypoint before stopping Also, units follow pathing as if they are off road even when the path is set to be via roads and they start on roads.

  17. Mission hangs on about 80% load bar (spawning objects) Need a hard kill of DCS app. Unable to add a log due to this.
  18. This never used to happen before the previous update and I'm not sure if this is a new "feature" or an actual bug. The video shows me setting up my radar to lock a target and then when I go to AA mode the radar resets and I have to re-set up and re-lock the target. This happens no matter if I use the AA button or my binding on my HOTAS. For reference I'm using the X-56. Is this a known issue? Here is the video I'm describing:
  19. Per threat title. Can easily be tested in the Airbourne Intercept quick start mission - your wingman fires his Sidewinders and then calls Winchester.
  20. I just dusted off the TGP as I have never used it. Watched a couple of tutorials followed instructions and bingo... bombs don't release? No idea why - I am aware that there are possibly numerous reasons so I have included a few screen shots.
  21. Next problem... Screenshot 1 shows where the bombs actually hit Screenshot 2 shows target designator area lock I have repeated this process 5 times - every time they impact a long way from the target and yes, I am lasing.
  22. So I was making this mission where I wanted to make a bit trickier to get home based on fuel use. So I first tried 20% and came up a cpl miles short of Ford AF. So the next mission I did 21% and I had all sorts of extra gas. Like a LOT. I know this isnt scientific or anything but this seems bad.
  23. MiG-15 no rudder input needed to maintain coordinated turns. It didn't used to be this way but now, even when turning as hard as you can, the ball stays perfectly centered without requiring any rudder input. That can't be right, can it? Sabre and F-5 also seem to have this issue now.
  24. i go back and forth between F16, F18, and A-10C II. i could very well be doing something wrong. recently in a hot start sandbox mission from user files, i started in parking. i rearmed with different loadout to include gbu-12s. when i using them, i was unable to hit any of the three targets i tried. question is, do i need to do anything after the reload to get the pod and the bomb to sync. i have been successful with the gbu many times and my problem seems to have just started. have checked everything i can think of. thanks.
  25. Hello fellow flight simmers, Since the last update I've had many instances of the viper FCR dropping lock while in SAM mode post-shot. It happens when I'm in the crank (bandit 50 degrees off my nose). Of course, because this happens well before A-pole, the missile goes stupid and lofts into space. I've set the AI bandits to not use Chaff/ Flare (and they aren't) -- so that's not a part of it. STT has worked great and maintains lock on shots taken between Raero and Rpi (around 40nm in my scenarios). Has anyone else had this issue? I'd love to hear about it if you have -- and then I'll compile some short tracks and post a bug report -- a quick search of the bug reports hasn't mentioned issues with SAM mode since early July.
