Hello everybody. I am not sure this is the right spot to post my questions, but I am quite new both to DCS and the forum. Leveraging on 30 years of Air Force experience, I have been contacted to develop BFM/AFM and BVR training scenarios. Mission Editor helps, but I am still struggling with some controls. Cutting to the chase… Is there a way to: - Make red air (AI) notch (turn approx 90 degrees off the initial heading) at a pre-determined distance? I get the trigger/moving trigger zone, the problem is the specific action - Make red air (AI) commit on condition (eg. X many seconds after the notch or at a specific distance) - Make red air (AI) resume CAP if blue air “strays” I have been dabbing with Combined Arms (it CAN control Air Assets as well as Ground) but it becomes a challenge with multiple units (it’d be easier to play the Flight of the Bumblebee on a piano!) Thanks for your help. By the way: I have zero scripting skills. P.S.: I might repost this in other pages, as I attempt to discover more suitable Topics headers, digging in the forum.

Hi friends, I have been working on creating a mission. All goes well up untill a moment of action/explosion. A windows error pops up in the back ground about a ~mis00004830.lua file. Now i have searched my pc but there is no such file to be found. I have included a picture of the issue. It seems it is looking for this ~mis00004830.lua string in the mission that is using DCS default scripts on the C drive , but only the saved games is on there. The base installation is on my D drive. Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it ? Thanks in advance RWC

Hi all, After an intense comparision with real life videos it looks, to me, that the Hornet is a little high on the back landing gear. I´d like to improve the look of weight on wheels (more). It´s to possible to edit/adjust a lua file? meanwhile i´m going to find out by myself but help it´s appreciated. Thank you. Best regards, F.

Vielen Dank schonmal. Meine export lua: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('lalalala'); Description = '3 Screens and L-R MultiMFD' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 3840; height = 2160; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16/9; }, LEFT_MFCD = { x = 3920; y = 1320; width = 390; height = 390; }, RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 4530; y = 1300; width = 390; height = 390; }, } UIMainView = Viewports.Center LEFT_MFCD = Viewports.LEFT_MFCD RIGHT_MFCD = Viewports.RIGHT_MFCD

Hello, I’ve noticed this for a while but only just decided to get the screenshot to have the evidence. Seems pretty clear to me they come out of the chute that points 90 degrees to the right and not from straight behind the gun cover opening. Thank you

Dear All, I am trying to use Notepad++ to save as and modify monitorsetup lua files for multi-monitor use. However, once saved they are not seen in DCS World / options / system / monitors list. Why is that? I am running Notepad++ in administrator but the resulting files in the correct "Monitorsetup" folder are not recognised by DCS World. What do I need to do please? Many thanks, Liam

Not my own mod, just tried to sort them by subcategories. I changed \Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech\<mod name>\Database\Navy\*ship_name.lua file by adding line GT.tags={"Cruiser"}; But it persistently appears in "Submarines" subcategory, whatever sub.cat. name I set. Editing similar .lua file from the same mod worked perfectly. Is there any other part of the code responsible for setting a unit subcategory in Mission Editor?

It can be freely dragged with the mouse to any position. It has a toggle to either end ("Mixture Control (rotary)". But it lacks any binding under axis (was going to set it to the slider). It also lacks incremental or decremental buttons to program. Obviously not critical, just noting. ~ Ed/Add To avoid cluttering bug threads I'll just edit in a thanks to LeCuvier for the fix here (post #2).
