All went fine till I've lined up with the active runway and doing the final check-list with Biff. Suddenly, his plane crashed onto my plane's back (I think he was trying to take off). I've punched out just before it was too late and sat on the runway floor watching the fireworks... How sad.

After hitting our target at 20:15,there were no any communications and orders. In fact,I was just flowing with my AI lead between WYPT 3 and 4.Besides,I also found that AI Tomcats didn't drop their GBU-24s at all! How can I slove this problem?

Hi Baltic Dragon, During several attempts today Doge 2 didn't leave the formation to continue their route. They stayed in position even when I attacked the enemy at Echo 2. After a while, I realized they disappeared. After I defeated the enemy at Echo 2 and went to help Echo 3, they appeared again. I didn't have this issue with the Georgian flights joining we on previous missions. What I also realized is, that I didn't receive a call that my wingman and Doge 2 joined formation while anchoring at WP 1. Any hint? Cheers, DK

I haven't put this in the bug section because it may have been something I did wrong rather than a bug. Towards the end of the mission over Venom I was getting very low on fuel and opted to hit the tanker on the way back even though I wasn't totally confident I would be able to take fuel before running out. When I got in formation with the tanker I used the "ready pre contact" radio option, but the tanker responded with something along the lines of "chicks in tow, one mile trail, 15000". I'm not 100% on this but I thought that meant it had other airplanes already trying to refuel and was asking me to wait in one mile trail? There were no other planes nearby at all though. I tried getting distance, getting right next to the basket and abort refuel and requested rejoin again and every time got the same reply. In the end with about 1000lb of fuel remaining I had to head to the carrier and hope for the best, skipping the pattern to get on deck in time. So did I do something wrong here, or could the tanker be bugged?

dcs bug Biff lands on 21R then taxis across dirt
Colonel Akir Nakesh posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Toward the tail end of mission 1, Biff lands on 21R, then taxis across the dirt onto 21L. Fortunately he is able to taxi all the way back and the mission ends successfully! Having fun and looking forward to the upcoming missions! -
Sup So, recently trialed the F-14B and attempted to start up a instant action, It loads almost everything past halfway but when it tries to pre-load something, it will stop responding, I don't even get a crash log. I also tried campaign, multiplayer, etc. Does not work. Any help would be appreciated.

I wish a refund ED thx. Everytime I enter the runway my wingman just crashes into me and the mission is over. I know its probably not BD fault but EDs horror AI making as it unplayable and even takeoff in any of the missions so far (miz 3 currently after skipping the first two). I will also never buy any campaign again that includes AI. I stay at MP in the future exclusively

Well, the mission went well I managed to accomplish it, but after engaging the iranian ship and being cleared rtb i choosed to aar. But when i was near the viking he choosed to act as a boom tanker and replied to me in that way (chick and tow 1 mile trail etc etc). After multiple abort and ready precontact I decided to give up. So I asked the wingman (olive) to do the aar, and she just turned away and went for landing. I had to land as well and managed to do that with less then 500lbs of fuel remaining!!! Was so scary at night ???? Very nice mission, I hope BD can understand and sort these problems

See attached mission If a submarine is submerged (under water) and it damaged the fire/smoke still happens This should only happen if the submarine is surfaced ( depth = zero) Most of the time fire does not burn under water underwater_fire.zip

Since there is no way to turn off the big fire objects in DCS you can use the destroy command to get rid of them (when you want the fire to go out) This sadly will only work in single player If you try to do the same thing in DEDICATED MULTIPLAYER SERVER it will not work See attached miz file Instructions to reproduce SP test 1. Load this mission in DCS mission editor 2. run the mission 3. Observe the BTR in F7 view 4. To the north of it is a big fire .... it is burning 5. Wait 20 seconds the fire dissappears (there will be a message) MP DEDICATED SERVER test 1. Load this mission on YOUR DEDICATED MP server - NOT just host your own MP server , there is a difference, make sure you server pauses with no clients connected 2. Connect to the DEDICATED DCS SERVER as a client 3. Observe the BTR in F7 view 4. To the north of it is a big fire .... it is burning 5. Wait 20 seconds the fire does NOT dissappear (there will be a message) You cannot delete the fire object in DCS DEDICATED server but you can when running the mission in the mission editor/SP fire_bug_mp_test.zip

I'm new to DCS. I believe it's an outstanding flight sim. But my perspective on the game took a major hit when I loaded up a REPLAY track and discovered to my horror that the replay does not reflect my actual gameplay (i.e. I crashed in the replay when I did not in the original playthrough). For a game like DCS with its relatively high price points, the lack of a fully functional replay track is an embarrassment. After conducting a due diligence, I was surprised to learn that this replay bug has been around for years, not months or even days, but years. In light of this, I cannot recommend this game to my friends or colleagues in good conscience. The devs should know better. The devs should be better. Do your customers and community better and fix the broken replay system once and for all. Thank you.

Hi all - working my way through the campaign and so far having a blast. I finished my assigned tasks in Mission 4 and told Weed that we should head to the tanker before landing, as I burned up a little too much while in the mission area. I guess I should have gotten to the tanker first to avoid this issue but when we arrived, Weed plugged and then took all of the fuel from the tanker. Once he disconnected, the tanker item in the comms menu disappeared and I was no longer able to request a join/pre-contact. Amazingly, I was able to land on the carrier in my first attempt but had 500 lbs of fuel remaining by the end of it. Is there a way to limit how much fuel Weed takes to ensure the player can move on if you aren't the first to arrive at the tanker?

Hi y'all! I've tried literally everything I can think of, but when I try to load into a buddies server I CTD without a crash report window. Also I tried loading into my own server and Growling Sidewinders server and had no issues whatsoever. Attached is the crash log, I would really appreciate some feedback ASAP so I can fly on my buddies server. Thanks! dcs.20210423-102142.crash

Hi, Firstly great campaign! I noticed that Mission 3 (The mission where you support the JTAC) has some issues since the recent beta update. Firstly, the jets leaving the carrier before you and Smoke almost crash getting off the deck. Secondly, there are no flight comms after the initial radio check. For example, when telling smoke to get into formation and fence in there is no voice over at all. I rolled back my install to release and these issues are not there.

I've played Mission 6 (the TOT strike on the IL-78 at Beruit Airport) three times now, and each time following bomb release and coming off target, I get zero communications via radios on Pri Channel 1 (Strike Com.)/Aux Channel 1 (Tactical). I have tried staying with Pistol 13 the entire way, as well as flying directly to WP4 (Get Well) after weapons release, but no matter what I do, I do not get any communications via radio after Musket 22 acknowledges not to engage Power Drill prior to hitting WP 2 (Rock). Am I doing something wrong here? Easy communication is off. I can still land on the carrier and I will be told mission accomplished, however I cannot help but think that I am missing something in between coming off target and landing.

A couple minutes into mission 6 while programming my JDAMs, the aircraft suddenly received an impact as if it hit an invisible wall or were caught in terrain. The impact broke my rear left landing gear and I had to restart. The second time, I removed the wheel chocks before this happened. The impact still occurred, but it didn't damage the aircraft and I was able to continue. I also didn't hear any further radio comms after receiving messages about POWER DRILL while approaching the IP.

Hi BD. First congrats to you, Hoser, Jello and the whole team on a fantastic campaign. Loving it so far. Raven One was a high water mark, and you've just reset it with DF. M08 Issues: 1- The target co-ords are wrong on the kneeboard notes. ----WARNING: Potential spoiler below!! 2- I've now tried M08 4 times and every time I form up with Redkite after he's hit the sim crashes. I usually catch him just after we pass over the first mountain peaks. It might be just my computer freaking out, but other missions and campaigns seem to work fine so i thought id mention it here and see if anyone else is having similar issues...?

Somehow saying solved and isn't. Major bug, not simply with this campaign. So far all missions created before the recent update now have aircraft going full burner to 10k feet. My missions were the first I saw this. then I decided to start this campaign waiting for any word on this and a fix. Cajun in mission 1 did exactly this. Not solved move. Full burners climbing to angles 10. Baltic Dragon, recommend someone press Eagle Dynamics about a fix. It seriously breaks missions, as the planes use a literal ton of fuel to do this, and any chasing planes use even more. As posted elsewhere in a bug report, these are my personal fun projects. 1 is the start of a mission created months ago. 2 is a basic mission only to test mission editor after the update, and the planes behave normally. Can anyone confirm if this is a just me issue, or a general issue? 1.trk 2.trk

So ive completed the combat part of this mission a couple times now, but as i RTB i get no "switch marshal calls" or anything, basically the report status is the last comm, then within 50 i just switch to marshall and use standard radios, but both times the whole game freezes up. i never get it anywhere else in the game, only this mission at that point. I also noticed the scoring wasnt accurate, when i reported he said i got 2 migs and a brushback, but i killed the 2 migs (didnt hit space for wingman), the high hitter and 2 brushbacks myself, i understand this is probably a DCS issue but just thought id report it anyway

solution Mission 07 crash/freeze
Jayhawk1971 posted a topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
Hi, I, too, am now plagued by freezing/ crashing issues. VR user. Mission freezes (with the "waiting..." message displayed) right when "things start to get interesting", as in it seems a major mission trigger event is happening (spawning of many assets?). I'm on the most recent OB patch. Here follow mission spoilers: Log file attached. dcs.log -
Hi. Not sure if this has been already reported, but I'm playing mission 3 and if I chose to skip the AA refuelling and start behind the tanker for WP3, the communications menu doesn't open up (meaning I can't get my wingman to do the tasks required). Anyone experiencing this too?
-
To be clear, this is not a DF bug directly. It affects other missions. I am trying to find out, and it shows in DF01 and probably more after that, if anyone else is getting AI aircraft going full afterburners to 10k feet after takeoff. The F14s, Cajun, and pretty much every AI plane taking off from a carrier. The primary problem with this bug is it is a real gas guzzler. And AI are already horrible about being fuel efficient. And any chasing wingman will use even more fuel to catch up. I'm getting this bug on two different computers. Fresh installs on both of them. It seems unlikely if it is a me problem, if two computers are getting it. And yet in a couple of bug places no one can seem to tell me if they get it or not. It seems to affect any mission made pre update. I've seen it a couple of times on after, but usually they behave.
