  1. SQUELCH OFF = static cut out SQUELCH ON = static passed through It might have been the case that the artist, during cockpit graphic overhaul, put the labels in reverse. The radio works as labeled in the manual (smaller picture below, with orange arrows visible), not as in the cockpit (bigger, darker picture).
  2. Not sure if it should be the same for both modes but currently TCN and WPT descent guidance is giving different distances with TCN having the steeper approach. In example track waypoint and TCN are colocated. WPT guidance is 30nm while TCN guidance is 24nm. F18WPTTCNDescent.trk
  3. The time shown on the DED page does not match the time of the mission by default. Manual setting is doable but one cannot ensure synchronization with multiple clients. The best way is to match the aircraft time with mission time during the startup.
  4. Hi all, I noticed that when you cycle through modes and go Vis mode on AGM-65D it deselects the MFD with WPN page on and makes the HUD SOI, seems strange but not sure if that is correct, since other 2 modes do not do that. F16 Mav cycling modes make MFD not SOI .trk
  5. The Expand (EXP) function of the SA format should be toggle-able via HOTAS, using the Event Marker button on the control stick. SA Event Marker EXP bug.miz.trk
  6. Our group has noticed this consistently random behavior in MP missions flying the F18. The symptoms are as follows. Load MP mission, occupy client F18 (usually hot), take off from either runway or carrier, affected client will start pulling up uncontrollably. You cannot trim it out. The solution is just to restart the MP mission and go again. I've attached two Mp tracks from last night.   7. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select SA format 2. Select EXP mode 3. Push STEP button. Expected behavior: step through the non-friendly trackfiles. Actual behavior: doesn't work. Remark: STEP correctly works in non-expanded mode.

  9. Place some vehicles on a road that has lamp posts, command handoff, watch the Maverick seeker snap to an (invisible) lamp post. Same works with units near a fence. Problem is, whenever the Maverick receives a track command (handoff or TMS up) it's casting a ray along its LOS. If this ray intersects with a scenery object it will track that, even if said scenery object is practically invisible compared to the actual target.   10. I don't know if this is a bug or proper behavior, but I didn't see it mentioned on the patch notes so thought I'd check. On the latest (today's) open beta, the chaff/flares indication on the SA page is visible with the dispenser switch in "On", but when the dispenser switch is moved to "Bypass", this indication disappears. Now, if you're flying with the dispenser in bypass, you have to switch it back to on to check chaff/flares remaining. Is this correct behavior? Thanks...
  11. After last update, HARM in "TOO" mode does not show NEVA "3". Even though NEVA "3" is visible on the RWR and has already launched a missile, HARM still does not see it on the TOO screen.
  12. When selecting HARM DSPLY from the TAC menu, without first having manually powered the HARM missile from the store page, the HARM remains unpowered. This means that you can be in the HARM DSPLY format and have proper TOO/SP symbology but be unable to use the HARM. Either: -HARM DSPLY shouldnt be shown if the HARM is unpowered -HARM should automatically power itself on HARM DSPLY select -HARM should always be powered on (in line with presumably the HARM Pullback logic) I don't have enough knowledge to say for certain this is a bug, but I would appreciate if the team coul
  13. So i got this problem, which i don't know if it's a bug or it's just how the real hornet works. The things is that when starting up a COMPLETLY emptied f18 that has been refuelled it cannot start up as if fuel wasn't been feedeing to the engine, which is rare as refuelling also fills the feeders of each engine. Steps: 1. Load an f18 emptied of fuel on the tanks. 2. Start it up either with APU or aux air/power. 3. Wait until fuel on engines itselfs empties, in which point the engine will stop working. 4.   14. Hi, When HMD is off, when in ACM Mode, you can choose directly to WACQ Mode with SCS LEFT or VACQ mode with SCS LEFT. But... when HMD is on, when in ACM Mode, you still can choose directly WACQ Mode with SCS LEFT but not directly VACQ mode with SCS AFT (no change). But, if you press SCS LEFT first (WACQ mode), then you can choose VACQ Mode with SCS AFT. Is there a problem?

  16. When the camera shifts from one end of the map (or a big distance in general) to the other side, the sky is reloading it's color really slowly. In this example, I switched my camera from Kutaisi to Anapa. The result: https://imgur.com/nivSOYM My settings: My system fits more or less the recommended specs for high settings I'm using the latest Open Beta. I've tried restarting the game and repairing, that didn't change anything. Removing all my mods didn't improve it either. Updating graphics driver didn't change anything either.
  17. The Attack format is currently referencing the bottom of the tactical region to the top of the dugout (angle only trackfile zone) as its range reference. For example, if the maximum range displayed is 80, then the 0nm point is at the bottom of the tactical region and the 80nm point is at the top of the dugout. This is incorrect. The dugout is its own thing, above the range-resolved tactical region. The maximum range scale point should be the BOTTOM of the dugout, and the 0nm point should be the bottom of the tactical region, as it is now. Note also that beyond the correct 80nm poin
  18. The vertical resolution scale of the Az/El format is incorrect, similar to the issue I reported for the Attack format except it's elevation angles and not range obviously. Currently it is referencing the top of the dugout as the top of the elevation scale. The bottom of the dugout should instead be the reference. So for example, if +/- 30 degree elevation scale is set, then the point that is 30 degrees above the horizon should be the very bottom of the dugout, not the top of it as it is now.   19. I've noticed this in the F-16 that I can't communicate with anyone in missions that are transmitting over VHF. At first, I thought it was something that I was doing when I was setting up my own missions in M.E., but this is happening in Georgia Hammer also. I'm using a Warthog throttle and have UHF programmed down and VHF programmed up, and have no problem with UHF. Am I the only one, or is this a known bug? Thanks for any help.
  20. T-72B3 is supposed to have the latest generation thermal imaging, yet it cannot spot units at night, unless they are firing at it or around 1KM. Although, all these vehicles I am about to list have different thermal capabilities in real life, they have pretty similar spotting ranges at night in DCS, from 0.9 to 1.4KMs. These include: T-90, T-80, T-72B, T-72B3, T-55, BMP(D)-1/2/3 Meanwhile M1A2, Leopard-2 and Challenger 2 all have a 3.9KM + spotting distance at night.   21. I noticed since last update that F18 AI, when decides to attack Sam radar with Harm, goes back to Harm max range before firing. Here 2 tracks, 1 with Sam site on Auto alarm state (when AI detects, it goes back and then fires), and 1 with Sam site on Red alarm state (AI immediately runs in and fires when in range, then before Harm reaches Sam starts a second run by going back to max range but aborts because 1st Harm hits Sam). Hey guys, so I've been having issues that are almost intermittent, hitting the RAID/FOV button will not switch the pods FOV to narrow I almost always have to press the OSB button, this is WITHOUT HARMS btw. My left DDI could be on the SUPT/TAC menu and it will still do it, not exactly sure why this is happening, sensor select is on the TPOD as well so that's not the issue. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Like I said it's intermittent where sometimes I can hit the button, sometimes I can't and this is unrelated to having HARMS on the other DDI as it happens without HARMS even loaded
  25. Hello, the newly implemented zsu-57 appears to not use time fuses. i would assume (but do not know for sure) that in reality it would use them for obviosu reasons. Will this still get implemented? Without them it appears to be a rather weak enemy. Also time fuses would give some nice visuals when being enagged by those medium AAA. Same for the S-60 gun whenever it will get released.
