Default Gameport Pedals in Windows 7 /64 bit ?

Hi all

just did a bit of playing around with Windows 7 / 64bit.

BS and FC look pretty fine, framerate is great and X52pro/TIR4 work also perfect - but:

I just cannot get my gameport pedals to be recognized

Anybody here know a way to get those gameport pedals to work under Win7/64 (or Vista64, I assume its the same issue) ?

Thanks, best regards,
-Axel-

does win7 see your pedals?

does win7 see your gameport?

try getting the gameport properties and make sure it looks OK there.

Wiser folks will be along soon to help. I am guessing it is a X-52 thing.

good luck.

Howdy

yep, it sees the gameport and its OK (at least that's what stated in Device Mgr).

But it does not recognize the pedals and there is no ConfigPanel for manually setting up/ adding the pedals, as it was in WinXP.

Thanks,

Gameport is not supported anymore on vista x64 or win 7 x64, however, you can convert a gameport device to usb with this: http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836A/

Win7/32 too don't recognize gameport - at last in RC.

In spite of BU0836 to be a great option, a cheaper option to convert a gameport pedal to USB is to use the circuit USB of a 3 axes josytick, like Logitech Attack.
I don't recoment use these cheaper chinese stick like Trust, they have a expressive deadzone, and small travel in axis.

A how to:

http://snomhf.exofire.net/gameportPedals.html

Note - You don't need to use exactly the same used by Mr.Snomhf.

Edit - Or maybee a USB to gameport convert solve the problem:
http://www.usbgear.com/computer_cabl...atid=626%2C106
These work for some stick/pedal but not for anothers.

Thanks for your helpful comment.

Actually I'm currently waiting for my USB-Gameport converter to arrive, hopefully this will solve the issue.

If not, I'll make my pedals to USB as Mr.Snomhf did

Thanks again,
