Update Model and Textures for RAAD.
RAAD with Nuclear Warhead (Optional).
Installation RAAD Nuke :
1 Activate Raad Normal (This will install Ra'ad Only) or Ra'ad_Mar MEP (This will install Extra Weapons With Ra'ad and Mar-1)
2 Activate Ra'ad Nuke 12KT 

Note: when you activate Ra'ad Nuke 12KT, you will recive a warning. Click Yes.

NOTE:
Most of the newly added weapons will show as UNK. So you'll have to remember which pylon have what. Other than that it'll work as normal
All KABs are laser guided and will work same as GBU - 12 , FAB will work same as MK 82 dumb bombs and so on

RAAD:

NOTE: By Installing this mode you will no longer be able to Use GB6 HE. Other GB 6 variants can be used.

You can add Haft VIII on pylons 3 4 5.

On SMS REMEMBER Haft VIII will show as GB 6.


How to use ?

It is same as using GB 6, You can use any of TOO or PP mode. Wait for the system to align and fire. Ignore the launch symbology on HSD, that is not correct. The Range on Haft VIII is 290nm give or take. So as long as your target is under this distance you can fire.

Best position to launch is from 0 to 80 degrees off boresight. But in my testing i was able to hit the target even lauched at opposite direction (i.e the target was at my tail side) the missile will navigate itself as long as there is enough space and energy for it to turn. It follows the terrain, As far as ive tested small-medium mountains are not an issue.


Known Issues:
If your target is in between tall structures , the missile may hit the structure instead
Sometimes the missile gets destroyed by hitting tress.

I am using ED's API for Curise Missiles so cant do anything about these issues.
I did increase its default cruising height which helps in avoiding tress.

MAR-1:

NOTE: By Installing this mode you will no longer be able to Use LD-10.

You can add MAR-1 on pylons 2, 3, 5, and 6. Pylon 2 and 6 can carry 2x MAR-1. So You can carry a total of 6 Mar-1.


How to use ?

Same as LD-10 (Just Extended Range), No difference at all.

MAM Series:

Usage - Just Like GBU-12

Since the weapons show as UNK in SMS, When Carrying different MAM warheads in one sortie, Sometimes it gets confusing Which Pylons are carrying what kind of warheads. 
To deal with this, I've added different Laser Sensor Colors for different warheads. So if you forget which pylon is carrying what, Just turn your head and look at the 
sensors.

HE   -- Silver/White-ish
HEAT -- Yellow-ish
AP   -- Red-ish

Extract and open Weapons Pack.zip Folder

You'll Find 5 Folders:

1 Raad Normal (This will install Ra'ad Only)
2 Mar-1 Normal (This will install Mar-1 Only)
3 MEP (This will install Extra Weapons Only (Without Ra'ad and Mar-1) )
4 Ra'ad_Mar MEP (This will install Extra Weapons With Ra'ad and Mar-1)
5 Textures (Contains Optional Textures for Raad and Mar)
6 Ra'ad Nuke 12KT

Copy All Folder except Textures to _MODS folder.

Activite the mod folder you want to use. Remember ONLY Activate ONE of the 4 folders.

If you are using Ra'ad_Mar MEP, Follow the same steps as above but just open "Ra'ad_MAR MEP (MEP WITH RA'AD + MAR-1)" folder from _MODS instead of "Ra'ad Normal (ONLY ADDS RA'AD)"

Each of these folders contains 2 Sub Folders, CLEAN and DIRT
As name Sugguets, CLEAN is Factory New, DIRT is weathered

To Install 

1. Open Wepons Pack\Textures

Now open the weapons folders you want to change the textures for i.e MAM-C or MAM-L
After opeing the folder you'll find 2 sub folders AP and HE or HE and HEAT

2. Choose the variant you want to change the texture for, Example MAM-L HEAT.
Now you'll find 3 folders as stated above in "Textures Availaible".

3. Choose texture variant you want. Example BLACK, DIRT.
4. Copy all files from Textures\MAM-L\HEAT\BLACK\DIRT
5. Paste at _MODS\ MEP (MEP ONLY)\CoreMods\aircraft\ChinaAssetPack\Textures\Weapons

If you are using Ra'ad_Mar MEP, Follow the same steps as above but just open "Ra'ad_MAR MEP (MEP WITH RA'AD + MAR-1)" folder from _MODS instead of "MEP (MEP ONLY)"

Deka Provided us with Real JF-17, I turned it into a fictional one :D.

 

I think this will be a fun little mod for Causal SP players to have fun around

i find it unlikely that the jf17 can't carry any type200s on the inner pylons or gbu-12s or any cluster bombs for that matter

plus we don't have the raad yet

but anyways nice mod

Yes it is a mystery for me too why JF-17 cant carry bomb racks on inner pylons.

If some knows the reason please explainnnnn,

 

 

Ra'ad is still under development. With the most recent changes in ra'ad design (X type fin instead of 2 Vertical stabilizers) We may soon see Jf-17 being integrated to carry one ;). The day that picture hits the internet... All eyes will be on deka :D

I was tinkering with the mod and I got AIM-7s to load on the outer pylons and they are clearly talking to the fire control computer, but they will not "ready" and thus will not launch.

 

 

Seems the launch trigger is now hidden on the encrypted side of the module now. Too bad since this is likely the closest thing we will ever have to the F-20. :( :( :(

It's all about 'practical'.

1. you need enough fuel to get into weapon launch range;

2. pilot may not be happy with an one-way ticket.

So it is more of a fuel restriction right ? I have very very rarely seen a pic of thunder without external tanks (Except airshows).

 

But let's say Pilot Just wants a one way ticket to target and has no plans of coming back, can he carry bomb racks or inner pylon ?:D:D or will he than run on pylon restriction?

Hope ED implements a reliable way for payload anti-cheat. So SP players can have fun around without ruining experience for MP players

Thanks for the replies Loopback and Uboats. Obviously some very unrealistic but also very fun to play around with different loadouts on the JF. Hopefully there are some better or different measures taken to allow to edit and create loadouts all the while not spoiling it for everyone.

That's a shame - was really looking forward to some fun Planes and Mercs shenanigans on SP with some friends.

 

 

I thought Integrity Check would weed out anyone not playing with a stock configuration, but I am sure asking more about why delves into "need to know" territory that shouldn't be shared.

 

 

If this does change back, do let us know!

 

 

Keep up the good work and good luck with the next aircraft project - really looking forward to whatever it ends up being, even if it isn't the Q-5 :smilewink::joystick:

You are forgetting that the jf-17 has a fuel tank for the center line pylon, but i don't know why people keep saying it has short range, you can fly the aircraft nearly 300NM or so with just the internal tanks and carrying a heavy load but if you like flying low you can do about 230NM low with a heavy loadout on the deck.

 

not to mention with the refueling probe that was graciously added by you guys you can just use a tanker and refuel in the air.

 

 

the only time it has short range is if you fly low with after burner on with no tankers nearby. :joystick:

edit: in fact just to prove my point here is a track of flying in death valley with 2 802ak, an spj, 4 sd-10s and 2 pl-5s flying 250nm ish

Sometimes I used the ventral fuel tank with the WMD7 in station 2....at the end I cannot load GBU-12 in the inner points, only 10 and 16.It doesn't make sense to me.

Just a Heads up, This Mod with not work after Todays Update (20-05-2020)

 

Modding anything on the plane disables the module. and it doesn't seem like DEKA issue. Same is Happening with F18, 16 (Only tested these two) . So it seems like more like something done by ED

ED no longer lets users to modify ANY lua since the update. so yep, mods are RIP
