ex81
Hi, hopefully quick and easy to answer, so here is the question: Selecting a target with the TGP on the lower greyscale screen, how do I slave it over to the MAV screen (top left screen). Hope you got what I mean ! What goes up, must come down ! Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk Don't you first have to designate a target through the TGP by pressing TDC depress, which the MAV can then slew onto? I've never tried using 65F with a TGP, so I actually don't know, but that's what I would expect how it works, judging by how it works for other weapons. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Harker
1. Designate a ground target via the TGP, with TDC Depress or by using the WPDSG option on the HSI/SA. You should get a target diamond on the HUD. 2. If the Maverick seeker does not uncage by itself, transfer TDC priority to the IMAV page (this will normally be enough) and uncage it yourself. It should slave to the designated target point and attempt to lock what's at the center of the crosshairs. 3. You'll see that the seeker doesn't remain locked, but switches from locked to unlocked rapidly, as long as it's slaved to the target point (I suspect this is a bug/wrong implementation, but anyway). You can fire at that point, as long as you press pickle while the seeker is locked. 4. To be sure, undesignate the target with NWS (diamond goes away) and you'll be able to control the seeker with the TDC Depress+Slew. It'll also remain firmly locked to the target, once it acquires it. 5. Pickle to fire the missile. 6. Transfer TDC Priority to the FLIR page, designate the next target with TDC Depress and repeat. QuiGon
1. Designate a ground target via the TGP, with TDC Depress or by using the WPDSG option on the HSI/SA. You should get a target diamond on the HUD. So you actually do have to designate a target via TDC depress first when using the TGP. This is what I expected and was missing from previous explanations.
