sparkchaser2010
Trying to figure out how to make these more matte than the current shiny. Blizzard WiP I will have version 2.0 ready soon with some updates, fixes and addition of the Blizzard and Splinter skins. NRG-Vampire
Trying to figure out how to make these more matte than the current shiny... you can set the shine in the .json file and you can use roughmet texture as "original file name" + _roughmet: for example f-16c_roughmet.dds
sparkchaser2010
Not sure if this model supports that, didn't see any .json file associated with it, might try the roughmet file and see how that goes. uscstaylor
Spark I thought this would help you in your search to get rid of that nasty shiny look on the planes. Skatezilla posted this and maybe it will help https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3247349&postcount=1 Look at the Photo of the ROUGH - DIELETRIC one that seems to be the best. I for one am not a fan of those overly shiny planes....Goodluck though!
sparkchaser2010
I just finished going through and found no answers regarding the AI aircraft that use BMP for the base texture. I've got specular maps ready but cannot find that right LUA setup to implement. sparkchaser2010
After editing the JSON file for the F-16, I was able to achieve a much better result. Sierra99
OK the Fix for this issue is to do the following... 1.) Add the attached f-16-glass.bmp to each aircraft's folder. (Not the RAR file...the bmp file inside. Apparently you cant attach a .bmp file to messages) 2.) Using Notepad++ or similar, cut and paste the following line to the each aircraft's description.lua. after {"texture F-16.tga f2 g0", 0, "f-16_haf.tga", true}, line. It should look like this {"texture F-16.tga f2 g0", 0, "f-16_haf.tga", true}, {"texture F-16.tga f2 g0",0,"f-16-glass.bmp",false}; Save and re-enable mod. Canopies > SHOULD < look correct again... I take no credit for ANY of this...just sharing how I fixed mine. Sammy H
Just a quick question, is anyone having issues using these in MP missions? I cannot seem to get mine to show correctly in MP. I added them to the mission and I can see them on the machine hosting the mission whether it's my gamer or my host but when trying to connect to the host machine it has them in the server correctly, but my gamer then has them defaulted back to Aviano. A couple of other things that are weird is I even tried using one of the default DCS Skins and even those are defaulting back to Aviano. I left my mission run for a few minutes to see if the Ai I have spawning in come in correct and those show up as they should with these Aggressor textures. It seems to only be affecting the static display ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sammy H
Also just wanted to add that the texture fix provided did work for me as I also noticed the missing texture file. All good to go on that now if I can simply figure out why they are only being seen on whichever one of my machines is hosting whether my gamer or my server but it cannot be seen once I use machine to log into the other. Thanks again, the paints look ABSOLUTELY fantastic! Too bad we do not have any F-22, F-35, F/A-18E or F or EA-18G models yet to use.

F-22: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2375333/ works fine as AI, no repaints (I could find) though
