MISSION BRIEF:
Territorial disputes over islands in the Strait of Hormuz have erupted into open hostilities between Iran and the UAE. The situation has been further complicated by the cooperation of Oman with Iranian forces,

Iranian military forces have occupied Tunb Island and Tunb Kochak, and have blockaded the entrance to the strait with Yantai class frigates, Guangzhou and Haikou class destroyers, and Molniya class corvettes purchased from their Chinese and Russian allies.

In addition, the AFIRI have also siezed control of the harbor at Al Qadisa to deploy military vehicles and personnel into the region. Two Iranian nuclear powered submarines and a Grisha class frigate are reportedly moored at the harbor, preparing to block any warships coming to the aid of the UAE.
Intelligence indicates these deployments may be the first indication of an intended occupation of the UAE. The cooperation of the Omani government will allow Iranian forces access to several roadways of significant strategic value, and it is suspected that Iranian convoys may already be on the move, deeper into UAE territory.

To make matters worse, the Iranian naval forces have openly attacked two civilian tankers that attempted to continue shipping in the region, and as of this time all traffic in the strait has been suspended. All ships already in the strait have now have been ordered to hold position until the situation is resolved, and flight out of Fujairah Interational Airport have been suspended.

TASKING:

The AFIRI buildup in Al Qadisa cannot be allowed to continue, and normal traffic must resume in the Strait of Hormuz. To this end, coalition forces have been tasked with attacking the Iranian warships blockading the strait, as well as the AFIRI forces occupying Al Qadisa harbor. A significant presence of Iranian ground forces can be expected in this area. These, as well as any Iranian military convoys sighted in UAE territory, must be neutralized.

Due to the significant SAM threat posed by Iranian warships, a low level ingress through the canyon in grid DN19 is recommended for the initial strike on Al Qadisa. Once the frigate moored in the harbor has been destroyed altitude restrictions will be lifted.

Iranian forces have attacked two civilian supertankers near Al Qadisa, the Worth and the Sea Giant. Most of the crew have evacuated, but damaged life boats have left some crewmen stranded on the burning vessels. SAR flights have been tasked with airlifting the remaining crew to the nearby hospital in northern Al Qadisa. Time is of the essence.
