Thrustmaster Warthog issue

Recommended Posts

DCS has very bad (= tediously slow) button recognition, I have to sometimes repeat 5-8 times before a button shows up.

I find they seemingly time out in the A-10 module, the switches that is. Like for example sometimes if the EAC and Radar Altimiter switches have been on the whole mission, and I flip them down, they fail to register. So I have to flip them back and forth to get them to.

I found the same behavior editing the lua files for other modules to accommodate the WH toggles. After I started using auto hotkey to emulate keyboard commands I never had these issues again. Though I use the A-10 module stock because the controller is premade for it.

As for the single press buttons, such as the dms and tms switches, I've never had any problems with them not working.

If you start a mission with all switches in their OFF position you wont have this issue.

Alternatively you can tick ON ''syncronize buttons at mission start'' in options.

When mission starts, DCS reads what switches are in which position when you start a mission.

For the MiG-15, I have the Flaps mapped to my Throttle flap switch. It's hit and miss when activating this switch if the flaps will actually deploy. I've experienced this a few times. Not sure why...

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Never had that on mine tbh.

The setup-gui for controls is slow tho, there it is normal to have to flip or press any Hotas control multiple times to register, but never in game.

All but 3 modules installed, dcs has its own ssd
