trackir stutters <120

Recommended Posts

Ok, maybe someone can help with a little insight, I am trying to get trackir to run smooth with my setup but run into issues when fps go below 120, currently I have gsync enabled and vsync enabled in-game, monitor is run at 120hz. With vsync disabled my fps can go from 80-200, with my settings they're capped at 120 and drop to 90 or 60 when near cities, once it drops below 120 there is a stutter when rotating trackir. I have tested the monitor at 90hz and I get stutters, at 60hz the stutters are less but motion blur is worse than with my old 60hz monitor. With vsync disabled fps go from 80-200 with stutters through the range. When I was running 1.2 on a 60z monitor gameplay was smooth, I am trying to get the same performance in 1.5 on a 120hz gsync monitor. I have been testing different settings with no luck, any help would be great. Thanks!

Seems I'm not the only one having this problem. Did anyone find a solution?

You are not alone, i'am in the exact same situation, with a brand new G-Sync 144Hz screen. Let's be clear, when you pan the view with mouse or numpad key, that's perfectly smooth, but if you enable TrackIR, it feel sluggish, like 30 FPS on a 60Hz screen...only solution: a perfect 120 or 60 FPS, but you notice motion blur when you turn head...I try everything, G-Sync, non G-Sync, standard V-Sync, Adaptative Sync, FPS limiter, nothing works...you need a perfect 120 or 60 FPS for smoothness (but with motion blur), and I run out of idea now....
