Will a New Video Card Help me?

Hey guys, I notice that when trying to run on high graphics settings I'm getting that shopping slow frame rate and it does get somewhat better when I change to medium or low graphic settings. I notice the slower frame rate when panning to the left or right while flying past cities..etc. My question is: can I get better performance by upgrading my video card and what card do you suggest? How would the ATI Radeon™ HD 5770 compare to my current card? My budget is under $200 here are my specs. thanks for your

intel duo core

e4500 2.2ghz 3GB ram

nvidia geforce 8800gt alpha dog

500watt power supply

I would suggest you take a look at this tweak guide.

Then reconsider the "need" for upgrading anything.

 

I am certainly no expert on Intel and Nvidea chips so i cant give you advice on that area though.

My favort place to go for over clocking info. Has a thread for new overclockers. I will be doing my dads E4300. probly do a safe OC to 2.5 from 1.8

you can get a Core2Duo 2.93 ghz cpu for $100.00 new if you look around..

 

I do not know Nvidia video cards... but a good fast cpu helps a bunch.
