Thanks! New pilots are really needed for the gazelle. Your copilot texture is very good (to be honest it's better than the pilot's one)) The only drawback is lipstick trace on the lower lip). It would be great if somebody could also change pilot's and copilot's models too, especially their noses! Thank you for your efforts!

Yeah i know what you are saying. The pilot is the hardest because the 3d model is so curved and i cant change it so no matter what texture i apply it always looks funny from the side view. I think they are an improvement, I will have another crack at the pilot and report back.

Hi everyone! I have stumbled upon a weird problem trying to do my first Gazelle skin. I am making a simple single color green scheme but when I check it out in the model viewer, it appears as the basic AdT camo can be seen through the green. You can see clearly the demarcation line between light and dark green and even logo at the top of the tail. I have checked many times that I didn't set opacity to less than 100% - I even deleted the included AdT Layer group and saved the dds (which is always plain green) but whenever I fire up model viewer, this appears. Any clues what's going on?

Spec layer maybe???

Make a plain grey spec layer and see if it works.

Thanks for the tip, Joey! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case. I've checked the RGB channels and they just mimic the plain scheme. And in order to have the spec layer active I'd have add the spec line in lua anyway, right?

OK, a friend of mine, who was helping me identify the problem, noticed something really interesting. The AdT camo pattern exist basically on all the default skins, just not showing on lighter (desert) camos. You can clearly see the darker patches on tail, boom, and engine and exhaust cowlings on the following default skins:

Germany Fictional

Russia Fictional

Serbia Fictional

Yugoslav Fictional

 

Is this some bug that creeped in with 2.5 beta or has this been the case before? Would really love to get to the bottom of this as the skin I'm working on doesn't look good with the added elements from AdT scheme.

Just wanted to let everyone know, the problem lays in the default roughmet files that carry the AdT camo lines... creating new roughmet files solved the problem! Hopefully I'll be able to finish my Gazelle project soon.

Yugoslav Air Force - based on SA341. Because of the flare launchers, I had to move the tactical number behind the foothold.

Need a little help!

 

Can someone point me to the right direction of painting the front door hinges? Rear ones are no brainer, but for the love of whichever god you believe in, I cannot find the front ones. Big thanks in advance!

Sorry for the late reply, Thor. I meant to get back to you a couple of days ago, but things have been crazy at work.

 

The file you want for the hinges is SA342_Cpit_Doors_1.dds. This is the texture for the inside of the doors, but you can also see the hinges as shown in the enclosed picture.

Is it me, or there are some missing .PSD? I mean, I downloaded today, and I don't have

 

SA342_Camou_ADT_4 and SA342_Camou_ADT_9 and I noticed, some parts of my skin are like missing textures, so maybe these ones?

Was looking for some help on what the line in the LUA should be for the HOT3 racks/pylons. I've found and edited the dds. just cant get the LUA right to show it. Thanks in advance

Assuming you're putting the DDS file in your livery folder:

	{"Mat: SA342_Camou_ADT_HOT_LCHR_Wpsns_3",0,"<your filename>",false},
