JonathanRL
UPDATE: BUG FOUND AND WILL BE FIXED IN NEXT UPDATE. Not entirely sure it is a bug. I tried the RB 05 in the LUFT mode and several times, the missile flew past the target at close proximity without detonating. RagnarDa
What happens if you try with a smaller target, like a fighter aircraft? DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
Airhunter
Same here, tried it on a Tomcat from rear aspect, even though I got fairly close to it, it just flew right past, so I don't know if the fuze is even working correctly. Seems still like a pretty useless missile.
JonathanRL
Seems still like a pretty useless missile.*glares in Saab* As requested, did further testing: Tried four times against F/A-18C. One direct hit; Target destroyed. Techically a miss considering what is being tested. Three other times the missile flew very close but did not detonate. https://twitter.com/JonathanRL/status/1268527956613312514

JonathanRL
No joy. No detonations. LÄGE Mark against large (and very unimportant) target: LÄGE Mark vs Hornet:
Airhunter
For A2G the 05 is a fairly viable option, for A2A, given the lack of a functioning proxy fuse and blast radius it's pretty much useless.
RagnarDa
This is very strange. It works for me??? Can you upload a track file where it consistently (even in the track) flies close to the target? RagnarDa
I don't understand what is going on??? Could you maybe try my test-mission? Edit: and unfortunately neither log nor track provided any clue. The track showed the missile miss by a mil and the log didnt show any targets in close proximity except the ground at one point.Rb05training3.miz Edited June 4, 2020 by RagnarDa DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. JonathanRL
It does work in the mission you linked. Could nations tie into it somehow? I used Sweden, you used US?

randomTOTEN
Could you maybe try my test-mission? RagnarDa, I just tried your test mission. I got a kill, then immediately exited. I tried immediately watching the track to judge the proximity of the detonation, but in the track it the proximity fuse failed, and it flew right past the aircraft.:huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh: Try running your mission, then watching the track directly after. EDIT: In the replay I had slowed time down to 1/4 speed.

RagnarDa
Issue was that the fuzing logic compared the distance between the missiles position over ground and the targets position over sea level. I am uploading a new build now, so the fix will be in next patch of DCS. There seems to be something else about the fuzing not working at some times I think, it sometimes doesnt explode even if it tries to do it. Edit: Thanks for the help guys tracking it down!
