Main Rotor Pitch

it will and the drop in main rotor RPM due to the sudden increase of AoA will result in a whole lot of other things happening and switching off.

 

The manual has rules regarding the maximum amount of pitch change per second.

Yes, 1 degree of pitch change per second.

 

Oops, I'm incorrect. This limit is for DECREASING collective pitch.

 

For INCREASING collective pitch, the limit is to go from idle power to takeoff power in no less than 5 seconds. The engines will likely reach takeoff power several degrees prior to full pitch.

Should we expect that there will be on ground rolling tendency??

There will always be the tendency for a dynamic roll-over if you don't manage the controls correctly.

 

Get "light on wheels" first and obsever where the helicopter wants to go and correct. Once you're stationary and she has no tendencies to move, gradually increase collective and come to a hover. Now you're in a situation where you already know you won't go all over the place simply because you are one step ahead of her.

 

When you're on the ground and haven't set any controls or trim and increase collective, odds are you'll end up with your face or another part of the helicopter in the mud.
