Poor FPS

Recommended Posts

What's your system specs Coxy_99 to go with those DCS options?

I couldn't read the FPS in the video, it looks quite smooth in the video?

it is ok, although we can see the lag in it, it wont tell use what is creating it.

do you have a tacview by any chance?

I do yes but i believe it was on a delay, I would have to run a replay i think.

I wouldnt want to waste your time, large MP tracks can be unreliable as we know

I just flew Single player Caucasus around Nalchik, missiles flying, everything set to high except civilian traffic. 1080p, GTX 1060, 8GB, sys Win 7, 500 GB SSD exclusive for DCS, 32GB sys RAM.

FPS in Caucasus around 100 or so.

FPS in Multiplayer Tonapah, no missiles flying, just in the Select Role around 20, following an F2 AWACS, Angels 16 above NV, FPS =35.

The NTTR mission has some FPS issues. Clutter/grass 880, Trees 68%, smoke not changable, Gamma 1.3, Anis 8x, Terrain ob shadows, flat, cockpit global ill on, MSSA 2x, everything high except civ traff off. Don't know what thing in the mission is causing the problem.

Edit: just flew NTTR single player, empty mission. FPS around 100 or so. Our server mission has NTTR in fits. No stutter. Just low FPS.

Add info

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

I’m seeing a solid and consistent 10-15 loss in FPS. My test is Batumi, daylight, no weather, no AI, A-10C. I’m assuming related to deferred shading.

Hi !

Did you try to recreate shaders ?

How do I do that again?

delete the folders "fxo" and "metashaders" in your DCS's saved games folder.

Be patient then, it needs to recreate them when you enter a mission.

yes, shadows are killing FPS a lot, I would say even more than MSAA.

I have a pretty decent setup but not always getting constant 60FPS even in single missions with dynamic shadows on
