** Leatherneck Public Bugtracker **

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

In order to better accommodate both current and future project update needs, we'd like to urge all users to cease reporting bugs on the Bugs subforum (unless significant discussion is indicated) and instead help us out by registering a new account and reporting a bug on the bug tracker.

This will allow us to more effectively receive bug reports from users, convey what is received and already fixed, as well as offer an insight into our post release support process. We also hope that the added transparency will better indicate how many changes are made that previously were not noted in changelogs.

Bugtracker:

HOW TO REPORT A BUG

  • Write an accurate and detailed report. Do not be vague, or leave simple things out. The more information that is presented, the better, as we can recreate the problem exactly as the user experienced it.

  • Include all the steps taken to produce the bug(s).

  • Attach Missions, TacViews tracks, and/or SARPP, dcs.log data files, and screenshots.

  • Show real world data compared to the modules' data. Preferably in English or Serbian.

  • Keep all the information presented in a neat, orderly easy-to-follow format.

This will help us immensely in reproducing the issue and confirming it.

You can also add further comments or updates on an issue after reporting it.

Once a report is submitted, we will take a look at it ASAP.

Please note that this bug tracker is separate from our internal one, thus issue statuses will not be accurate unless set to resolved or closed.

If a bug that is reported is not seen, please add it. It's likely we are already tracking it, but better safe than sorry!

Most of all; we'd like to thank all of you for taking the time to report bugs and help us build better products.

Many Thanks,

Leatherneck Simulations

Awesome idea!

... and may I also add a suggestion: when filing a bug in the bug tracker that was previously posted in the bug forum - just add a quick reply there stating the tracker id. So everyone knows which threads are already "transfered" and where to find it in the tracker.

At first I thought: great idea, but now some people already starting to report things like

"huge issue, very important - my FPS drop when X, Y and C come together in one word, only from 2-3 o'clock (AM) but THEN they go from like 80 down to 5"

:doh::wallbash::ranting:

Sorry for this rant,

I just can't take how some people can't communicate in a mature way to try to help and solve real problems that they suspect, suspect since they have no knowledge of the matter...

I guess very few people here are actually familiar with C++ or other coding (rewriting a number in a .lua file isn't considered coding)

Don't worry. It's quite alright to have any and all reports be added (even if erroneous)

The bugtracker will be moderated (lightly) -- but it serves as an alternative outlet to doing things like this (figuring out what is right) over the forum.

If we consider something to not be a bug, we will appropriately close the report with concise information as to why it is closed.

This would not be the case in a private bugtracker; but standards will be very lax, since this is a public issue tracker.

I beg your pardon, sir, but inability to hit ground targets with a cannon is a huge enough issue for me and my kronies I fly with :glare:

And they gave you back 2 activation, so you won 1 in the process, not a bad deal :).

I have 2 activations of 15 left, because of the permanent bug!!!

So, where is the benefit?

Panzer..I had same issue..I installed patch before deactivating the Mig21 and couldn't fly it ..so heres the easy fix ,.go into regedit > hhkey software>leathenecksimulations. right click folder and delete it. ( make sure you have your license key for Mig21 ) once you deleted folder..click out and log into DCS , the screen will splash with a request for Mig 21activation key...enter key and you're good to go..I did it just like that and I have my Mig back . Cheers..
