Teeps
I find the wingman to be a bit more of a pain in the harrier than in other modules. As far as I can tell they can't do these things: - land on the Tarawa - target a specific ground unit I have targeted with pod or DMT - be trusted to refuel without driving through me to get to/from their basket (I think this is a problem for all modules at the moment) But they can do these things: - take off from the Tarawa as long as not too heavy - engage ground targets of their own choosing - do relatively well not getting shot down by SAMs - AAR without issue if I don't let them collide with me Is that about the state of things, or am I doing things wrong? You’ve pretty much nailed it sir. That’s the list as far as I can tell. But take comfort in knowing that almost every other module has the same issue with AI wingmen right now. I’ll be happy when all the Tarawa related AI issues are solved regarding landing and takeoff etc. Even the Harrier AI when landing at airfields seems to be a bit wacky yet as well. I’m sure it’ll get sorted out soon!:thumbup:
Niehorst
A BIG one: All AI wingmen do not have the same AoA like player when flying in formation. At slower speed they look like falling out of the sky at any moment. Even during high speed they got their nose pitched uo to much. The planes that do have leading edge flaps keep them in full, even at higher speed when flying in formation with the player. Think I already observed this in LOMAC, about 15 years ago. I can imagine that the AI flight model is a big thing, but can't we just have it looking right??
