MickV Posted December 18, 2022 Share Posted December 18, 2022 Listening to Mag 3's interview with the Air Combat Sim podcast - there is a brief mention of adding capability to fire the R.550 Magic (I presume it would be the 1976-vintage Magic I version, to emulate the Iraqi modification used in the Iran-Iraq war). Seems like a no-brainer, given that it is a verified historical usage. Having read through the whole thread, the R-73 (likely without the Schel-3UM HMS, and just bore-sighted) also seems entirely reasonable, and a straightforward way to make the MiG-21bis a bit more competitive for those who want to pit it against 4th gen aircraft. Obviously it would need to be limited in Cold War servers or missions intended to simulate a 1970's-era conflict. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
