Don’t think there is a missile called RBS-15G (at least I never heard of it)

It's TV-guided glide bomb made from missile RBS15. It's very cool weapon with TV-link (IR optional). Suited for heavy targets like bridges.

Bomb similar to GBU-15.

I bought the F/A-18 just before release, but have only sat in the cockpit twice, on the ground. Too busy flying the Viggen and having fun! :)

:D

Mikke, you should join us for the next SoW mission. We need some more Viggen pilots. Ask your fellow EAF chum OD if you need to know more, we have a few EAF guys flying Harriers already.

I was looking for your server yesterday, and I have read about the special SoW campaign and I would love to participate, but unfortunately I'm not able to join in on that one at the moment at least.

Bomb similar to GBU-15.

I dont think the RBS 15G was actually developed though.

It was just a variant that was planned / considered but never actually built.

(and Sweden did not get the GBU-15 either).

And the picture you linked seems to be just Showing a normal RB 15F

(With a RB75 on the outboard station) being carried by a JAS 39 Gripen.

There were multiple ideas / plans for weapons / airplanes etc considered / written about in the 1970s and 1980s that were not fully developed

(Saab A20, Saab A38/B3LA in the case of aircraft and RB 72, RB 73 and RB 82 as examples Missiles just to name a few)

So the RB 15G was just one amongst all of those proposals that was never fully developed / adopted but instead canceled early on.

The Viggen never got a Heavy Guided Attack Weapon, it was always in the studies but the money for it was never there.

In many ways the Strike Viggen never reached it's full potential because money was always very short. And with the JAS Gripen a replacement was in the pipes for half of it's career.

There will be a patch hotfix on Friday for this + a bunch of other Viggen improvements.

An official ED hotfix for DCS or some hotfix files provided by you guys?

Anyways, looking forward to it!

Looking forward to it very much. I really wanna love this module, the Viggen is one of my favourite aircraft and the Heatblur representation has a massive potential: it looks fantastic and is generally speaking very good but at the same time, has annoying bugs and missing features, lacking basic animations etc that ruin the overall experience. I am sincerely hoping they will be sorted in due course.

DCS AJS37 Viggen by Heatblur Simulations

  • Fixed crashing issue on aircraft re-initialization (respawn, refly)
  • Reworked overall Sidewinder seeker behaviour.
  • Increased Rb-74 (AIM-9L) all-aspect capabilities.
  • Fixed RB24J (AIM-9P) to be properly rear-aspect.
  • Added Next Missile selector (FRAMSTEGN IRRB) button to bindable controls.
  • Re-added kneeboard settings page
  • Fixed trim on ground start - now defaults to 3 degrees

Great stuff! And nice to see it in the official DCS changelog!

Before anyone asks: the FRAMSTEGN (missile step) is not functional, it was just added to the bindable controls for keyboard.

There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.

Not functional yet, I suppose?

Today's patch should include the fix for the CTD issue.

EDIT: May not have been pulled.... investigating...

As stated in another thread here, this issue was not fixed in the Friday HOT fix. Still crashing DCS.

Its unusable at the moment, only good for one mission then the ctd,

they need to remove the viggen from sale until its fixed

Cobra already stated that they have sorted the issue out and a new hotfix is being requested:

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3559246&postcount=81

So no need to panic or to take the chance away for some people to get the Viggen on sale
