I dont have a problem with updated cockpit even tho the HUDs visibility wasnt completely solved and still requires some work(atleast its usable now!). Youre probably right waiting for a bit if ED shows up with some update to it.

Thanks a lot :) ... actually the older textures used on your Mod, look much better than the new ones, so just fixing the warning panel labels but keep the other textures would be perfect :D

I can't open some textures and can't get description lua.

I'm waiting them to be solved.

Hardly ... :) ... your Mod has almost 5,000 downloads .. and the recent upgrade of the MiG-29 has put this Mod on the limelight again.

 

 

English cockpits are undeniably more useful on clickable aircrafts, like the MiG-15, but on the MiG-29 having the warning lights in Russian is a turnoff for me, same for having to memorize the russian names for the Autopilot panel, etc. In that regard, this is an indispensable mod.

I had some stage gigs (of our music band). A few busy weeks.

 

I think now I can work on it.

I must say that I almost re-do all textures. You know ED has completely changed textures.

It takes time.

 

But aware that, update is on the way. You know, I won't leave my mods alone. :)

I appreciate the guys that like to fly the authentic cockpits, but for me as an English speaker, I prefer all my knobs and switches to have readable labels.

I am using this mod and it really saves a lot of time. I am in VR so it was such a pain to take off my HMD and check the manual every time so see what the button is. Also using the Sukhoi English cockpit mods.

 

BTW, what does the mod creator mean by "must re-do all textures"? It seems to work fine for me except that the warning lights are still in Russian. Is there something else I am missing? Are they going to be higher resolution? Asking as a noob.

ED completely renewed cockpit textures. I'm doing all re-work on all textures. Actually, yes, my mod's textures are still working with current Mig-29 cockpit except for warning lights.

 

I handled warning lights. At least I will release it and tell how to install, in a few days. So that this mod can be used until I'll finish the rest.

Good to hear. I was perplexed that no matter how I install it it would not work even if sometimes shows in the dropdown list (when installed directly in game/mods folder), still the russian version appears.

Could you please try this? In the zip, there're two files; description.lua and Mig-29_cpt_lamps.tga

 

I assume you have already installed the mod into Saved Games, Liveries folder. Move those 2 files into the mod folder; "English" folder in Cockpit_MiG-29S, A, G whatever. Don't forget to select English in Special tab in Options.

 

Please try it. It should be working with my mod. When I finish new textures and also "if" "I" "can" "manage" "to" "get" "the" "proper" "description.lua", I will be able to update the mod.

For those who have no idea about the problem; We need a true description.lua file that contains a list that tells DCS how to use the textures in the 3D cockpit model. If you can't prepare a proper lua, you'll see corrupted textures in game. We used Uboat's app for years but now (as I understand) he hardly find time to update the app for the latest cockpit texturing technology. That's why I can't complete the mod.

Uhh. This could be about a conflict between new lighting system and my obsolete mod texturing. That's why I need to update the mod as soon as possible. :)
