My Cougar is broken, contact TM without feedback, I need some parts:mad:

It would be nice if you would name the parts you need...(i have some replacement stuff).

That's funny, I just received a new coolie hat from Guillemot. They answered my email immediately with an automated reply. I had to go through their process which involved emailing them a few more times, paying them with PayPal and waiting weeks for delivery but they did come through in the end. It doesn't happen fast, but it is possible if you're patient.

But as i have said to another person who wants them, you have to wait a bit, i'm in the middle of a house renovation and they are stored away "deep". It's over 10 years since i've used them so they could be a bit dusty...:joystick:

I know about that problem. That is why I asked. I need the part in picture, maybe somebody with broken gimbal doesn't need it any more. I want to use it on other joystick. If you want to sell it please send me a PM.

Don't want to snipe though only as a general information, that I have one set of Cougar joystick gimbals as spare.

In other thread the guy say that bough Cougar HATS from Thrusmaster, you should contact then first.

Microstick is easy find in eBay, but pot' joystick potentiomter (30~60 degress) is not sold in stores...

I did check EBAY, all I found there where the complete HOTAS controls, I could not find just microsticks, could you please send me a link?

But you find similar in eBay, they are called there "replacement ministick" (for PS2/3, XBox) or thumbstick, is the same thing.

You need analog with 3 pins (as are models with 4 pins HALL sensor but Cougar controller is not compatible).

Ok, so here's a problem, I found a brand new microstick in my bag of parts I purchased over 10 years ago, nice right1 well, its soldered to Thrustmasters circuit board. There are about 14 pins that need to be unsoldered to remove it from the board, I don't know of any technique that would enable me to heat all the pins up at once to slide the old microstick off the board? Heating 1 pin at a time is not going to work? Any ideas?

You need something called desoldering wick, it is easiest metod for beginner. There are links on Youtube.

Just FYI, I called CTS about part # 252A104B60NB-ND, they told me it was obsolete in Dec 2014 and they had no replacement for it?
