F-16 vs Mirage 2000

Hello. In DCSW our test showed that F-16 cant outturn (in sustained turn) RAZBAM's M2000. But chart says opposite.

We think the M2K FM is set up incorrectly

Maybe i'm reading it wrong, but at 36000 feet it says Mirage max. is 2.2 Mach, F-16 is 2.0+ Mach, what altitude did you test at?

That's not what he's talking about. He said outturn not outrun, bottom left of the chart. Says F-16 sustained turn rate of 13°/sec while M2k has 11.5°/sec @ mach 0.7 and 11°/sec @ mach 0.9.

Yes sure, M2K FM that got good feedback by the French Air Force and being compared to the one from real M2000C simulators is wrong.

Can't be the FM of the F16 which is in Early Access....

Just take a ticket for the 'M2K is OP' bandwagon, there are already all Hornet (in Early Access also) owners in front of you :music_whistling:

And by the way, chart is comparing a M2K-5 with a F16 Block 52, none being available in DCS currently

Some time ago Mirage was able to do far more questionable things like flip 360 degrees in 2-3 seconds in a controllable manner without departure... So I can see the improvement anyway.

But yes, the amount of drag of Mirage delta wings thus speed bleed in turn seems to be lower than the real plane. And this is the crucial parameter which causes real F-16 to outturn real Mirage. Sustained turn rate is an Achilles heel of all Delta wing fighters.

Plus is they are still working on Mirage, fine tuning it, it's a great module.
