Which DCS Version?

Which version are most of you flying: Open Beta or live 2.5? Do you keep both loaded on your PC? I have both loaded now only so I can fly the Viper. I did not load any other modules into the open beta platform. Just curious.

just dl open beta and play the game. i like to use the kiss method.

That's what I was thinking also. I mean, open beta is stable as it is; they just happen to test more stuff out on it before bringing it over to the "stable" platform, right?

for me im just a Multiplayer user. so just using the OB (open beta) and playing online on a few servers is fine. online servers will require the Open beta, some maybe on stable only.

Some users like to play SP only, or w/ certain mods, etc or even amazing setups, not sure what yours is, but for me just having the open beta is enough.

You will find things break yes; some are fixed that day SRS updates, Server changes, sometimes older modules break and get carried over to stable release, personally TWS on f15 made me stop playing for 6months until it was fixed.

Alot has changed, this game is always evolving.

You don't need to have 2 installations of DCS:World on your computer. Stable and OpenBeta are different versions of the same program, and you can quickly convert between versions using the DCS_Updater tool.

Nice! Where is this updater tool??

How quickly is quickly? It seems to want to download and install all over again.

Eh-hem... If I use the updater utility to switch between versions, do I have to install my modules every time?
