Searchlight Crash

As of Open Beta 2.5.6, destroying a search light at night when the search light is on will cause a game crash.

Do you even get them to work in 2.5.6?

I activate them and have an enemy bomber formation fly about 400m directly above them and the search lights dont move at all.

You also need to set a trigger that lets them activate.

Yep I was following SUNTSAG's guide.

They do activate but they dont move at all even when the bombers fly directly above them at 400m altitude.

If you are using metres set the value to 609 they will work then. 400m is too low.

609m above sea and above ground both tested without success. Lights activate, bombers fly over them, lights stay passive.

Switched to imperial units to try it with exactly 2000ft but no success either. Does it work for you? Could you attach a sample mission file or something?

I installed the Marston Mat mod, got the mission running and boom all search lights worked.

Changed time to 03:30 and added some clouds and that broke the search lights. Probably because the units cant spot the bombers.

Confirmed bug imo, cuz historically they were guided by radar and should at least be searching the sky even if they cant see anything.
