Dubai Under Siege – A Huey Adventure

This is a mission series for DCS World and the UH-1 Huey module that I will do in my free time. While most missions will be single-player, a few will be multiplayer. Be sure to check back often as this is an ongoing series of DCS Missions and will be updated with new missions.

Storyline...

After the coordinated assassination of the Emir of Dubai- Mohammad Zayed Al Nahyan – the city has been in complete chaos. The brutal regime, Revolutionary Warriors (RW) which has a large number of loyal soldiers – has taken responsibility for the assassination of the Emir and had raged war against the current federal government. Their goal is to take out the highest levels of government from the top down at an attempt for a coup.

The UN council has already condemned the actions of this regime and has offered military assistance as Nahyan’s successor Khalifa bin Al Qubaisi struggles to contain the situation. 100’s of civilians and EU military personnel have already been killed by the regime in coordinated strikes all across the city. You are the pilot of an Uh-1 Huey assigned to a special task force from the UN council. You and your team will assist in defeating the RW to bring peace and calm back to the city of Dubai.

Dubai International Airport has been taken over by insurgents. In an effort to take back control of the airport and the surrounding area we need to insert some fresh boots on the ground. You're assigned a troop transport operation to retake the Al Maktoum Bridge which is a major connection to Dubai International. After that, you are to extract J-Squad located in the town of Sharjah and relocate them to allied Sharjah International Airport.

Operation : Al Maktoum Bridge

Assignment 1

- Pickup Your Troops from Allied Al Minhad Airbase

- Transport troops to Al Maktoum Bridge LZ to take the bridge

Assignment 2

- Extract J-Squad from the town of Sharjah

- Transport J-Squad to Allied Sharjah International

- Return to FARP Dallas for debriefing.

- FARP Dallas (ADF 42.00 FM, ATC 127 Mhz)

- Al Minhad Airbase (ATC 121.8 Mhz)

- Al Maktoum Bridge LZ (ADF 52.40 FM)

- J-Squad (ADF 43.50 FM)

- Sharjah International (ATC 118.6 Mhz)

Tips

- This is a trigger-based mission, please follow instructions for the mission to work properly

- Use of ADF radios helpful in locating LZs

- Consider arming guns at Al Minhad AB to save time.

- Try to safely land your troops into battle as soon as possible so they can join the fight

- Stay low when leaving Al Minhad AB as MANPADS have been reported in the area

- No Menu diving, troops will autoload and unload when you land.

Taking Back Dubai International Airport (1-4 Players)

Module: Uh-1 Huey 1-4 Players

Runtime: Approx 45 min - 1 Hour

DCS Version: 2.5.6 and Up!

This is kind of a hybrid mission. Can be played in SP or Multiplayer (hopefully without to many issues)

Taking Back Dubai International Airport

Radical insurgents have taken over the Dubai International Airport crippling transportation in the city. They have set many of the terminals on fire and we must gain back control before they do any more damage. Allied forces are beginning to grasp the upper hand but are in need of additional ground troops. Get allied infantry troops to Dubai Intl to take back the airport.

Dubai Under Siege 02: Taking Back Dubai Intl

Instructions: This mission can be played by 1-4 players. Troop transport is the main objective but 2 huey gunships can be used as escorts. 2 Slicks (Transports) & 2 Gunships (Escorts)

Single Player: Select a Huey Transport, Use F10 Menu to Start Mission

Multiplayer: Use F10 Menu to Start Mission. (Do NOT start the mission until all players have entered their units. Enemy ground units based upon the number of players in the game)

Assignment

- Pickup Troops at SharJah International Airport

- Transport Troops into battle at 3 LZs at Dubai International

- Return to SharJah International when completed. (Not FARP Dallas)

- FARP Dallas (ADF 42.00 FM, ATC 127 Mhz)

- Sharjah International (ADF 52.00 FM, ATC 118.6 Mhz)

- Bravo LZ (ADF 47.40 FM)

- Delta LZ (ADF 44.60 FM)
