2.5.6 Lot of user's mods are down

It does not affect proper mods in any way.

Proper mods, you say?

How about not fixing something that wasn't broken in the first place?

How about ED started to put proper effort to stock sounds, so we wouldn't have to resort to using mods?

How about releasing proper patch release notes, so we wouldn't have to play a guessing game what is actually fixed/changed?

Was this change completely necessary?

Yes. We have to protect our IP. Not from you, if you're asking.

How are we supposed to move forward with developing new sound mods

I guess you need docs, not the original samples. (However you can still reference the stock game samples in your new sdef files). We will post the docs, including the list of filenames for sdefs and samples a bit later.

I'll repeat: changes to the game install folder will NEVER be supported. You want mods - do it the supported way. Not enough docs? Ask! Need help? Ask.

I guess these questions while perfectly valid are beyond the topic.
