falcon_120
I dont want to be a nitpicker here but i was curious, accordign to the recent miniupdate video of the amraam the radar is only capable of 4 bar scan, but even at 4 bar scan pattern it seems that height coverage is bigger than the F18 hornet at 6 bar setting. Is this just WIP? or the 4 bar setting in the viper gives you that much elevation coverage with 4 bars?
Beamscanner
keep in mind the beamwidth of the APG-68 is different from the APG-73. The APG-68 has more of a fan beam. Meaning the beam isnt circular. Its beam is larger in elevation due to the smaller vertical aperture of the antenna.
